Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Tim Hortons Field
Tim Hortons Field has been the home of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats since 2014. Built on the site of the long-standing Ivor Wynne Stadium, Tim Hortons Field was built for the 2015 Pan American Games and has become a vibrant hub for CFL action. At “The Donut Box,” Ticat fans can be heard cheering along with team mascots Stripes and T.C. and sounding off the longtime "Oskee Wee Wee" chant led by Pigskin Pete. The 23,218-seat multi-purpose stadium has hosted two Grey Cup championship games, including the 2021 matchup between the Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. In 2023, the capacity record for the stadium was set at 28,808 during the 110th Grey Cup game.

First time visiting Hamilton and first Tiger-Cats game. Was a great atmosphere the entire night and the stadium is excellent. Highly recommend for any sports fan
And my team won. Drinks and food expensive as you expect these days. I really don't like Tim Hortons Field, however. For some reason, I always get seats on the east side and faces the sun. It's unbearable hot for an afternoon/early evening game in the summer and for a night game, as was the case last Friday, you can't see the field for the first quarter because you are staring into a setting sun. The field is quite new. I don't understand why it wasn't oriented east-west instead of north-south.
I am amazed that over-serving alcohol and having alcohol available on site, is ok, yet smokers can’t even smoke outside the gates! They’re smoking in the bathrooms, they’re vaping in their seats, trying to sneak a puff here n there while the drinkers openly get wrecked! You need a smoking section or the option to leave and re enter. I am amazed that you celebrate alcoholism but prohibit smoking off the property during a game.
So let's get this correct. You want to have a smoke free environment. But the majority of people who smoke follow football. So let's empty the place of all the beer drinking smokers. So we have more seats to sell? Great plan? No wonder the CFL can't sell out. I think a designated area in the south end is the correct way to make everyone happy....smokers or non.....and guess what???? I bet that end of stadium will have the most beer sales too......go figure eh. Go cats go
The game would have been exciting and entertaining except for loud unrelated music clips between every play. Random noise makes oit hard for fans to focus on or even talk about the football game Football fans do not need or want randomly selected rock rap and hip hop music blaring their our ears. We come to watch football not to hear a mish mash of music
3 plays on opps 5 yard line, including 3rd down in 4th Quarter, and coach calls deep corner route. Even peewee football teams have scripted plays for that situation. Its the 2 point conversion play. Ridiculous!!!
3 times inside 10 yard line and throw 40 yard corner passes.. no need to say more. Even Peewee teams have plays scropted for that situation.. Same as a 2 point convert!! Ridiculous
No smoking area and not allowed to leave. Feel like the teachers union runs this place.
Got reminders of football game. Got QR Code 2 times. Used QR Code at game. Easy Peasy. Felt like Ticketmaster really helped me get tickets and easy to get into game. And i am a senior. And this was my first time using a QR code on my phone. It was so easy because Ticketmadter led me through everything slowly and carefully. And the ticats won the game! Perfect day!
Had a great time at the ti-cats game. Good seats.
No in out possibility. No smoking area. Is this the only CFL stadium like this? Cant be back unless this changes.
We really enjoined our time in Tin Hortons Field. All staff very friendly and great ambiance. Fun games to play before the real game starts.
Tim Horton's Field has made changes since the pandemic, and some not for the better in my opinion. They have become a cashless establishment and no longer accept it as a form of payment, which is a hassle for those who prefer to use cash, or do not have cards available to them. They have also eliminated the ability to leave and re-enter for those who are smokers, they should have at least implemented a designated smoking section, which they did not, or advised individuals prior to purchasing of tickets about these changes. The removal of re-entry without a designated smoking area has just caused many people to smoke within the premises where they can, and many being in the washrooms, which is not right for those who don't smoke. As for the Tiger Cats themselves, whether they are winning or losing they try their best!
Sadly an otherwise great experience with my grandsons was somewhat ruined by a fellow who arrived at his seat highly inebriated. He sat with an open beer can in each hand, as if he needed more alcohol, and incoherently attempted to speak with my grandkids. How did this person ever get through the gate and allowed into the stands?
Went to the rivalry night Hamilton tiger cats vs Toronto argonauts was a good experience as I have never been to Tim Hortons field for a CFL contest. Would recommend although parking in and around the stadium is nearly impossible
Good ticket price, great venue, and the black and yellow got a great win. Even the concessions are (relatively) good value.
This is an event that defines the people of the city. Great place to meet one another and see friends you have not seen in years. For best results buy a Cats jersey with your last name on the back. Love it. The atmosphere is positive and fun. Staff at game are friendly and accommodating. Long live the Cats.
It was a great experience and time spent with my dad: great atmosphere and a fantastic new stadium. I was able to meet a reporter from TSN and ask her to pose for a picture with me.
Lots of fun! Great energy from the fans in the stadium! OSKIE WEE WEE
Attended to watch the game and experience the entire event. The Angelo Mosca tribute just made everything so much better. However, those who chose to drink and socialize missed a great experience. Made moving through the food court area "difficult".
