BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Jack Peñate got his start in music after initially pursuing a degree in Ancient World Studies at University College London, but dropped out before finishing to follow his passion as a singer-songwriter. He began performing in London's local pub scene and attracted attention from several labels for his passionate performances. He signed with XL Recordings in 2007 and released his debut EP Spit At Stars, which featured the popular love ballad "My Yvonne" -- a duet between Peñate and his famous friend Adele.  He performed alongside David Gray, Rilo Kiley, and others on Later...with Jools Holland that same year and made several festival appearances while continuing to grow his devoted fanbase. He made his full-length debut in 2007 with Matinee, which topped the UK Indie charts and included two No. 1 hit songs. In 2009 he released sophomore album Everything Is New to a Top 20 spot on the charts before hitting the road for a worldwide headlining tour. Whether he’s playing old fan favorites or his 2014 single “No One Lied”, Peñate always treats ticket buyers to an unforgettable concert experience.
