Also in 2024, Richie continues his longtime residency, now at the Wynn Encore Theater, in "Lionel Richie: King of Hearts."
I saw Earth, Wind and Fire with Lionel Richie. Great show. Both knocked it out of the park. Would go again.
Lione's banter and stage persona was engaging and witty but sadly his voice is not what it used to be. His backing vocalists were carrying much of the songs; using a vocal harmonizer at times and I swear I even heard a younger Lionel Richie mixed into the mix in the background at several points, especially during the Commodores songs. Lots of backing tracks mixed in which was very evident when he encored with "All Night Long"and you heard a full worm section with only one sax on stage. I always wanted to see Lionel Richie so I can tick that off my bucket list but sadly, I think it was several years too late.
It was an extraordinary night , full of joy and excitement!!!
I have gone to many concerts in my time but this by far is one of the top 2 in my lifetime. It was intimate it was a memorable and the presentation was incredibly good and personal thanks for putting on such a great concert
A great feel good experience all night. Everyone was in a feel good mood. Both bands were on fire and had a lot of great one liners. This is how concerts should be.
The All Night Concert at Rogers Arena was spectacular and no issues with the entrance, performance, music, lights and food provided in the venue... Lionel Ritchie transported us to the good years of good music not only from him but also from the Commodors making us nostalgic and happy to dance and sing in all the songs... hope I can see him again. The same for Earth Wind and Fire, their performance was magnific!!
Excellent show. Lively, joyful. Totally worth it to see.
This was an amazing night. Earth Wind and Fire killed it. So much exciting music. Lionel Richie was outstanding. Everyone dancin the night away. Well worth it to see these icons.
Lionel Richie was amazing!! He still has it and I love how he interacted with the crowd.
Such a great entertainer! I would definitely recommend and see him again!
It was excellent concert to see. He made everyone clapped hand and sing and dance. Everyone was enjoying the concert. I was too. I hope he will come back to Vancouver again.
Such wonderful evening with earth wind and fire plus lionel richie, it's like a double bonus. The entire floor was lit up by both artists and we were dancing singing and rejoicing with the stage performers almost the whole night. Hope they come back soon!
Fantastic concert! Loved Earth Wind and Fire but Lionel was outstanding. He is a legend. Loved his engagement with the audience. Please hold him to his promise that he’ll be back before 5 years!!!
Loved every minute of this concert. The positive energy was tremendous, as was to be expected from such iconic performers as Earth, Wind and Fire and Lionel Richie but it was even more! You could feel the love and power of their music, inspiring singing, dancing...and the lights and effects were magical. What a blast!!! It’ll last forever.
Earth, Wind & Fire were amazing! So great to see 3 original band members! They sounded great, brought back many memories of listening to their albums with friends. Lionel surprised me. He's still got it and was incredible! Just love all his songs and so did the audience! Sound was awesome! So happy I went to this concert! 2 for 1 couldn't beat it!
If you have the chance, watch the concert. Its expectacular!!!
We were looking forward to a relaxing listening evening - Earth Wind and Fire led off with loud light show that needed less base so we could hear the music. Our group is older [70ish] but there were many there that looked our age and were looking for a more relaxing sound from them. Lionel was a pleasure to hear when doing his old favourites and I am thankful that I got to see him. The sound system did take away from what looked like a well thought out evening-- maybe someone should test the show sound by sitting in customer seats before shows?
Earth, Wind and Fire opened with a strong performance. I had forgotten how many popular songs they did. Lionel started a little tentative, but got stronger as the show went on and was soon back to his terrific old self. The Commadors and Lionel brought back a lot of great memories. Over all it was a great, fun filled evening. Would love to do it again!!
Very entertaining and technical visual support and they were interaction with audiences !! Another check off my bucket list !!!
We had wonderful seats in section 106. The show was fantastic!!! Loved all the screen effects and getting in and out of the Arena was much smoother than we thought it would be. We were able to take the Elevator down and back up to the street level easy peasy.
