    Fun but too small

by Dylan on 2024-04-24FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

It was a fun show but the days of being at the rogers center with a larger arena are definitely missed. The Hamilton First Ontario is far too small and so was the Scotiabank arena. These trucks need a large space to really put on a good show and these arenas are just way too small. I don't understand why they won't go back to the skydome (rogers center).

It was so much fun! Got in and out quickly of the stadium, my son loved monster jam... Just wish they'd cut out the motocross and just keep it strictly monsters trucks! Overall we'll be going back next year! :)

    Monster Jam trucks are Amazing

by ViciousV on 2024-04-23FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

Monster Jam is too good of an event for it too be hosted at the Copps Coliseum. (Its too small) Maybe try the Roger's Center (Skydome) Toronto, or pick an outdoor fair ground! ie. Bingmans in kitchener, Ohsweken Speedway, Flamboro Speedway.

My 6-year old son loved it!

by JS on 2024-04-23FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

My son says he “really, really loved it!” He and his dad were there for approximately 3-hours and my son was entertained the entire time. My husband said there were (understandably) limitations on the trucks due to the (smaller) indoor venue set-up. He felt that the show was more exciting in the outdoor venue he’d previously seen the Monster Trucks at. That being said it was still a great show and it was really for the little one who enjoyed it immensely so that’s what counts. My son says he would go back to see the Monster Trucks everyday if he could.

Fun but slow paced between events.

by Anonymous Dad on 2024-04-23FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

I took my family to our first Monster Jam! Why? Our 4 year old loves watching clips of Megladon on YouTube. As we live in TO, Hamilton was the closest option for us. How was it? Our daughter got to see Megladon close up and meet the driver for a photo + autograph which was awesome. She loved watching Megladon and the others compete in their events which was a win. The only issue I found with the show is perhaps because of the small venue. The one single mound of jumps got repetitive fairly quickly — as opposed to some of the crazy stadium setups you see on YouTube. The arena is so small the trucks were blipping the throttle then hard on the brakes to stay in the safe area. Mix in the long breaks in action between events and my daughter who was very excited to see monster trucks - was actually happy when I told her “this is the last monster truck”. We were all starting to fade and she wanted to go home.

    Show needs a different venue

by BCM on 2024-04-23FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

The show and monster trucks were great and we would definitely go again but not at that venue in Hamilton, the venue is terrible! Its location is out of the way for most people attending and traffic was horrible to get in and get out. We missed the beginning of the show because of how hard it was to get parking. We came all the way from Ottawa and was not expecting such a small run down venue considering they were hosting such an established franchise. Monster spectacular comes to Ottawa, Canadian Tire Centre, but it’s not the same as monster jam, you would think the bigger franchise would be at the nicer venue like CTC, Monster Jam being a bigger more known show should have been hosted at a much better location. My son loves the trucks but not worth that drive/venue again…

    Wicked

by Burnzyy on 2024-04-23FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

We had a blast! The only complaint we had was that the big screen wasn’t raised enough and it blocked our view of the dirt bikes doing their tricks!

    Great show

by Kk on 2024-04-23FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

They put on a great show ! It was pretty cool. The venue was really small so they were very limited but I'd love to see them again in a bigger arena.

    Mediocre

by Br on 2024-04-23FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

Too small of a venue for the monster trucks to really do anything other than drive over the dirt piles. Was disappointing, if it wasn't for Grave Digger, wouldn't have really even had a show

    Excelent show

by Juan PBF on 2024-04-22FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

I think it was a good show for the price, I don't know why the venue wasn't full. In the last half hour, I felt that the show was running faster to finish on time. The souveniers was expensive, If they low the price maybe sold out, but is their business. Dont miss those events. Never use the improvised parking lots that pull you for the event, they ask $30. Use the parking located Wilson ST and John St, just $4 for all night.

2 Hour show - 20 min. of Monster Trucks

by Sven and Family on 2024-04-22FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

Been to Monster Jam many times in the past with the family and its always a good time. We were somewhat disappointed though with this show in Hamilton and likely won't go back to that Venue. Show was 2 hours, felt like they talked and did "crowd activities"for most of that time. The Monster truck segments were very disappointing and did not live up to past events. One truck even scarped the wall at the end of the arena cause he didn't have the space to properly execute a turn and suddenly he needs a tow? They had dirt bikes too, but only 4 of them jumping into an air cushion and the stunts were not that exciting until the very end when they did some flips. Maybe 15 or 20min of this and they kept stopping to talk to the drivers. Honestly, the whole show felt like it was thrown together and we think they were having mechanical problems with the trucks cause they kept doing activities and interviewing the crowd. We were not there to hear crowd interviews and trivia or the life histories of the drivers. We were there to see trucks and we feel like we got very little of that. Wasting everyone's time getting the crowd to show their phone lights and scolding the crowd for 10min cause some kid's legs were touch a "safety zone". Just seemed like lots of excuses and show delays. Whole thing felt like a crappy infomercial and delays. Three times they had to tow trucks off the field but felt like they were just doing this to burn time as there was nothing wrong with the trucks that we could see. They just stalled out. Soo many delays in the show... not happy and kids wanted to leave half way through. To top it all off, the concession stands were a mess and we just gave up trying to get anything other than popcorn. We will not be back. Ridiculous.

Event was fabulous - kids to old to sit on laps weren’t

by Sheri on 2024-04-22FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

Event was fabulous but people behind us had two children who were obviously over the age of 2 sitting on their laps and they didn’t pay for seats for the kids. I don’t know why the ages aren’t verified but we got kicked in the back, head and seat the entire show and the parents didn’t give a rip. I paid for a seat to an event, not to get kicked. Please verify children the under age of 2 otherwise parents who are cheap will take advantage and it ruins paying customers show.

    We had a great time!

by David T. on 2024-04-22FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

The children and I had a great time watching their favourite Monster Jam trucks / drivers do what they do best. Watching their heros in person over a television was HUGE to them. First row seats definitely made them feel part of the show. Disappointed that we had to throw out the drinks we initially brought with us, it's not like we weren't going to purchase more food and drink, as a single dad I had already paid a lot of money for the tickets, knew we would be buying the food/snacks/drinks and a couple of toys for the kids. The security guard was just doing their job, he was polite and nice about it, just too bad it upset the kids, they felt like they had done something wrong. My kids are young, it was my fault for trying to save a couple of dollars on a night where I had spent around $1000 is my thoughts. We made great memories!
