Ranked as the fourth best-selling rap artist of all time by the Recording Industry of America, Nelly has become a symbol of rap's crossover success in mainstream pop music. With over 21 million albums sold in the US alone, his pop-infused hip hop and unique vocal delivery have earned him six Top 10 albums and made him a live concert favorite. His seventh studio album, 2012's M.O., features hit singles "Hey Porsche" and "Get Like Me," a collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Pharrell. Born Cornell Iral Haynes, Jr. in 1974, Nelly got his first taste of musical success with the St. Louis hip hop collective St. Lunatics. I was so pleansantly surprised when I realized that I knew most of the songs and that my favorites (some old) were on the set list. Nelly was amazing! Fun, engaging, entertaining, easy on the eyes lol and best of all, he can really sing!!! Overall, I loved the concert and will definitely go again when I get the chance.

It was a blast. He still put on a show as though it was for 25,000. I couldn't believe it when it was over. It felt like we'd only been there a short while. If he'd gone another hour I would still be wanting more.

I was expecting a lot from the Nelly concert because his music is hot, but the show was a big dissapointment. Take a look at other performers for some ideas and wow fans.

His set was very short, just over an hour, and a good chunk of that time was spent with stunts such as bringing people on stage from the audience. I expected him to perform more of his songs, rather than knocking them off 2 or 3 at a time by doing short medleys. For the price I don't think he worked hard enough for the money. I also wish he had dancers on stage as his opening act did... its what one would expect from watching his music videos. Its also the only concert I've attended where there was no encore.

Security was on top of problems. Overall Good Event to Attend. Nelly's never been here before and I'd like to say "About Time!"

I was expecting him to have some dancers but instead he pulled girls from the crowd. Although a neat idea I felt lots of song time was wasted as he spent lots of time making three girls walk.. which yes was a good introduction to body on me however would have been nice if he spent less time on that and more time on his music. Overall he was amazing though. I would recommend to all my friends and family.

by madddogg on 2011-03-22Edmonton Event Centre - Edmontonnelly was great and interacted with the crowd :) would love to see him again!!! but we were made to wait wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too long for nelly to come out. doors open at 9 and he came out at 1215!!! but this has been typical for every concert i have attended here put on by urban metro and 91.7. we also bought vip tickets and could sit in the vip area because it was full. so it was a waste of money. so basically the edmonton event center is terriable but nelly was awesome.
