About

Nicki Minaj is a multi-platinum-selling rapper from the island of Trinidad. After being discovered by Lil Wayne in the late 2000s, Minaj signed with Young Money Entertainment and quickly began breaking records — becoming the first female artist to top Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart in nearly a decade thanks to her 2010 single “Your Love,” which was featured on her Grammy-nominated debut studio album Pink Friday. That album took the music industry by storm, delivering the Diamond-certified smash “Super Bass” and introducing fans to the rapper’s penchant for alter egos among her blistering lyricism and rapid-fire flow. Considered one of the greatest female rappers of all time, some of Minaj’s biggest singles include “Starships,” the Grammy-nominated “Anaconda” and “Chun-Li.” She scored her first solo No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2022 with “Super Freaky Girl” — the lead single off her fifth studio album, 2023’s Pink Friday 2.

Nicki Minaj Concert was Good but too much down time.

    by Nicki_Toronto on 2024-05-08Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Nicki Minaj had a great concert. The set list was amazing. Her looks and outfits were beautiful. She started way too late…. Our tickets were for 8:30 but she did not come on until after 11:00pm. That’s way too late for a week day concert. We had a surprise Guest DRAKE do that was a luck treat. However there was too much down time. The DJ came on which was really good and hype. Then a dancehall artist performed. But the. Nothing for another hour. The. Nicki game on. Then Monica then another 20 minute pause. I would have preferred that the show go on with our breaks or provide an intermission period so people are not afraid to get up without of fear of missing something. All and all a good show and Drake showing up really make is special.

    Ending with a bang

by Dcc on 2024-05-07Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

She came on super late so I don’t suggest going early. The first quarter of the concert was alright some lines dropped. But she left the nostalgia songs till the end which was a blast

    Roman Barbz Thoughts

by Khadija on 2024-05-07Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I feel two ways about this. I get that some shows don't start on time but for this to start closer to 11:30 pm and no one said anything in that time, was disappointing. The Roman in me was not impressed. But as soon as she finally graced us with her presence, the Barbz kicked in and it was a great time. With the many breaks in between, we could have used more entertainment. Entertain your crowd! Drake's appearance was a bonus for sure. Not that I checked, but I wonder if that was the entirety of the setlist or were we missing some songs? I still like me some Nicki, so let's hope the next Toronto show runs smoother. Plus put Megatron on the setlist. Thanks!

    Nicki Minaj

by ML on 2024-05-06Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I did not appreciate waiting 3 hours for her to come on stage! They had a DJ that got everyone excited but the excitement died down while we waited and waited. She did not even apologize for being extremely late. Her stage set up was cool. Her outfits were hot! She looked good. Her dancing was good. Her singing was ok. The best part was the fact that she surprised everyone with Drake!! The intermission was very long and after the singers were done we were waiting again and staring at nothing. She didn’t end it well. It wasn’t the best concert. Drake made my night! She said some very positive and empowering things! <3 I went to another one of her concerts in Toronto near the beginning of her career and that concert was much better.

Cant say it was worth the wait

by Alexis on 2024-05-06Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Arrived early for Scotia club access. The food, drinks and atmosphere was fantastic! Pre-ordered our merch, which didn't have ALL the merch listed, so we missed out on some merchandise Show start was slated for 8:30. The DJ went on at 9:00 Some sort of opening artist started at 9:15 and played 2 songs before getting off stage at 9:30. We waited until 11:06 (I checked the time) for Nicki to finally show up... She played her full set - didn't sing as much as she could have. Almost felt like she had phoned it in for this show... Time between her first 'act' and second 'act' was about 15 minutes The time between second and third was about 30 minutes... The production was fantastic. Lighting and video were phenomenal, sound could have been a little more dialed in, but it wasn't terrible.

    good experience, long wait time

by jj on 2024-05-04Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

made the crowd wait almost 3 hours before coming on stage, but then brought drake out so it sorta made up for it but we ended up leaving early since it was probably going end around 1 am
