Seattle Storm History
The Seattle Storm are an American professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Founded in 2000, the Storm have qualified for 18 of 24 postseasons and won four WNBA Championships, in 2004, 2010, 2018, and 2020. The Storm have built a sustained legacy with players such as 2022 Hall of Fame inductee Swin Cash, three-time WNBA MVP Lauren Jackson and three-time regular season assist leader Sue Bird. In 2015, the Storm drafted Jewell Lloyd at No. 1. She went on to be named Rookie of the Year, became a five-time All-Star and in 2023, won the Peak Performer Award for leading the league in scoring. The Storm’s subsequent No. 1 pick in 2016 was Breanna Stewart, who would win Rookie of the Year and MVP as a member of the Storm. In 2021, the Storm won the WNBA’s inaugural in-season Commissioner’s Cup.

Great WNBA game! Fun crowd. Happy to have women’s sports supported!
Great game, lots of crowd interaction. Dj spun decent acapella's for most of the match.
Great game at Rogers in Edmonton. Both teams played with good intensity even though it was an exhibition game. Really good atmosphere, great crowd and overall a really enjoyable evening.
Great game, amazing game presentation and so wonderful to see women’s basketball at Rogers place! Hope to have more in the future!
What a great experience! The whole family had a wonderful time and it was so great to see such talented athletes in person. Can't wait for the next one.
It was an amazing game on both sides, great event, would definitely attend again!
Everything was perfect, other than the rogers place seats being a little cramped for my liking. The women put on a great show and it was cool seeing the Oilers out and supporting women’s sport.
So amazing to see women’s professional basketball in Western Canada! They can’t come back for another game fast enough :)
This was an excellent, entertaining evening. We found easy parking across the street from @RogersPlace, found our seats easily, thanks to the usher, grabbed a hotdog and settled into our seats. We were delighted to be a part of this introduction of professional women's basketball. The only issue is that we couldn't get seats at mid-court.
Like the city of Edmonton hosted its first WNBA game I am in awe of how well it went. If and when Edmonton gets another WNBA Canada game I would be back again, and the price of tickets is at a very good price.
