About

THE ARCS IN CONCERT:

The Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach stays true to his bluesy, soulful style while diving deep into R&B and ‘60s psychedelia with his new project The Arcs. Auerbach has recruited renowned musicians to add thrilling elements to his passionate and pop-savvy songs in concert while providing rocking gems that are guaranteed to bring the house down. Whether it’s the gospel harmonies on “Outta My Mind”, the warbling garage rock keyboards of “Put a Flower in Your Pocket”, or the echoing percussion of “Stay in My Corner”, the group explores and succeeds on each stunning song as ticket buyers sway to the infectious rhythms and catchy choruses. This is one side project fans will love to see front and center.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

In 2002 Dan Auerbach teamed up with blues-obsessed drummer Patrick Carney to form The Black Keys in their hometown of Akron, Ohio. After several celebrated blues albums like Thickfreakness (2003) and Rubber Factory (2004), Auerbach released his 2009 solo debut Keep It Hid. As his solo work explored soulful rock and folk, The Black Keys had already begun dabbling in sophisticated production techniques and psychedelic flourishes on their way to concocting a more contemporary and radio-friendly rock sound. The transformation paid off as the band scored a string of hits including “Howlin’ for You”, “Lonely Boy”, “Gold on the Ceiling”, and “Fever”. The frontman has branched out in recent years, becoming a sought after producer for acts like Lana Del Rey, Dr. John, The Growlers, and Ray LaMontagne. Auerbach’s new passion project, The Arcs, masterfully combines several of his influences—including psychedelic drum beats, soulful vocals, fuzzy bass guitar riffs, and dreamy keyboards—that always sound great in concert.
