About

The Black Crowes are leaving the bullshit in the past. 15 years after their last album of original music, the Robinson Brothers present Happiness Bastards - their 10th studio album. Some may say the project has been several tumultuous years in the making, but we argue it's arriving at just the right time. Call it brotherly love or music destiny that brought them back together, the highly anticipated record consecrating the reunion of this legendary band just may be the thing that saves rock & roll. In a time where the art form is buried beneath the corporate sheen of its successors, The Black Crowes are biting back with the angst of words left unsaid penned on paper and electrified by guitar strings, revealing stripped, bare-boned rock & roll. No gloss, no glitter, just rhythm and blues at it's very best - gritty, loud, and in your face.

Since The Black Crowes reunited in 2019, they've made a triumphant return to form with over 150 shows spanning 20 countries worldwide, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Shake Your Money Maker, the album that put them on the map. Upon their return from the road, they knew they needed something new to show for their lost time. The Robinson Brothers and longtime bassist Sven Pipien headed to the studio with producer Jay Joyce in early 2023 and the experiences of years past transcribed themself through the music as the band found their way back to their roots. And it's finally here - Happiness Bastards is out March 15, 2024.

Exccellent musical performance by the Black Crowes

by Cisco Kidd on 2022-07-20Abbotsford Centre - Abbotsford

Concert was good, the stage was set up well, security was decent. Sound was overall very good w some songs and vocals drowned out/ The worst part of the evening was leaving and the gong show they have w pay parking area and exiting. Definitely need to sort that out

    Great Show

by Stevo on 2022-07-20Abbotsford Centre - Abbotsford

I had the best seats, row 7 centre stage. The last time I have seen THE BLACK CROWES was back in 1990, it was like going back in time. Great show

    Great band, terrible sound

    by A. C. on 2022-07-20Abbotsford Centre - Abbotsford

Band was great. The sound where we were (up in the stands, fairly close to the stage) was terrible. Cranked too loud - really sludgy and murky. Sound for the opening act was great. Too bad - we came all the way from Victoria for the show. Never again.

Great stage and sound. Chris is a showman and still has a great voice. Awesome musicians and back up singers. It was an experience.

Downright amazing show - hopefully we get more!

by Guy from a Pawnshop on 2022-07-13Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Love the Crowes and was super happy to see the brothers bury the hatchet and reunite. The size of the venue was appropriate to the quality of the band and of the show - despite not exactly headlining festivals the last few years the band was in top form in terms of sound and stage presence. The tour was obviously focused on Shake Your Money Maker, which makes sense given it was their breakthrough and the album probably most people know them from. But I hope that this tour does well and the guys come back with more varied setlists - and the fact that they even did a song off of "Warpaint" bodes well for that!! I definitely got my money's worth, especially considering how cheap the tickets were. If you see them coming through give some serious thought to going!

    Crowes murder it!

by Amazin A on 2022-07-12Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Fun, funky, full of whimsy and good old fashion enjoyment of the music! It was a magic night with talented artist who can still slay it. Watching Robinson do his thing is worth the ticket price.

BEST time, so much fun, great venue - alcohol too expensive

by Hudson on 2022-07-12Budweiser Stage - Toronto

The sound system was great, set up of stage and seating. Great screens for close up of band, especially at favorite songs. Ive been here every summer and outdoor venue is the best of all. Cant wait for my next band to play. Only complaint is that the alcohol is very expensive but that's Toronto for you - will never change... im use to it as i go to alot of concerts and sporting events. Have 6 more this year set up. So much fun.

    very underwhelming

by Dave on 2022-07-11Budweiser Stage - Toronto

They came out strong playing 5 of their best songs but when they played Hard to Handle that early in the set in knew there was trouble. Nine or ten unfamiliar songs later they finished with Remedy and encored with another unknown song. 90% of the fans were kinda just standing or sitting there watching. Guitars overshadowed the singer and the pianist could have taken the night off. Even during a solo you couldn't hear him. As for the singer, I understand having some artistic freedom to sing the way you want to but constantly late or on the off beat or rushing to get the words in (screams in actually) threw off the rhythm of the back and forth you can achieve with an audience. Looked so very forward to seeing this band but won't see them again.

    Black Crowes

by Stef on 2022-07-11Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Loved the music for both Black Crowes and The Trews, but the sound quality (mixing) was not so good. Black Crowes could also have played a couple of more songs for their encore as they had left out a few from their set.

Seeing any act at the Budweiser stage is always awesome. No matter where you sit the sound and view is great. When seeing a band like the legendary Black Crowes I was so awestruck by their talent and sound. 5/5 for sure!!

    Black Crowes

by James J on 2022-07-10Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Love the Crowes so I'm biased. Beer ridiculously priced! Expensive not cheap! Good crowd Sound quality somewhat questionable. Not sure if I could not understand some songs because of that or Chris Robinson was just singing at a live concert so not as clear as an album??? Had a great time despite the few negatives.

    Crows Crushed It

by Eljacador on 2022-07-10Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Very slick. Delivered a well rehearsed rockin performance. All the hits and others. No disappointments. Liked the Love Boat bar tender. I was impressed with the mention of their previous Toronto drummer. Good time had by all. The awesome weather helped.
