Having seen both bands twice already I was pleased to find the third time was indeed the charm! Definitely the best Summer Set set to date with all the favorites from the new as lbum. The Cab -energetic, fun, acoustic set was brilliant Also liked the representation of To Write love on her arms
I was really looking forward to this concert but honestly I thought they show was half thought through. The 3 bands that played before (He is We, Paradise Fear and Summer Set) put on a much better show. Unfortunately, they took 3 great songs and cut them in half and played them slower than intended (not very entertaining for the crowd). Plus, they left out two great songs off their CD (I realize they can't play them all but I was surprised as they were two upbeat songs) - Intoxicated and Animal. Overall, I was expecting more from them as I love both of their previous albums - I felt their set was shorter than the 3 opening groups.. The MOD Club itself is a great venue.
I totally wasn't sure what to expect from either of these bands live, but I can definitely say that I was blown away. Both bands played absolutely amazing sets and the crowd absolutely loved it. The energy in the Mod Club was just electric! The sold out crowd was singing and dancing along and just overall enjoying every minute of it. I would definitely see both of these bands again! I am patiently awaiting their return to Canada!
