ENTER SHIKARI IN CONCERT:

For more than a decade, British band Enter Shikari has been slaying audiences with their adrenaline-filled blend of metalcore and electronica. In concert the furious foursome hammer out high-octane cuts like "Anaesthetist" and "Sorry You're Not a Winner" with savage intensity, alternating between melodic passages and growling hardcore breakdowns to deliver a dynamic live experience punctuated with real-time electronic manipulations. From the band's blistering riffs and amped-up showmanship to the frenetic mosh pit that inevitably arises, there's always plenty to get ticket buyers thrashing at Enter Shikari's hair-raising live shows.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Enter Shikari formed in 2003 when the St. Albans, UK band Hybrid -- a trio who had been playing together since 1999 -- added a fourth member and took on a new name. The newly minted quartet hit the ground running, releasing three demo EPs in 2003-2004 and building a considerable fanbase with a blitz of live shows. By 2006 they were climbing the UK Singles Chart with hard-hitting tracks like "Mothership" and "Sorry You're Not a Winner", and in 2007 they released their long-awaited debut album Take to the Skies. The album peaked at No. 4 on the UK Albums Chart, reaching Gold certification and leading to high-profile sets at festivals like Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds. Their next two albums -- 2009's Common Dreads and 2012's A Flash Flood of Colour -- fared similarly, both cracking the Top 20 and drawing the band out for extensive touring. Enter Shikari's electrifying live shows have earned them numerous awards over the years, including two Kerrang! Awards for Best Live Band and an NME Reader's Poll for Best Live Act at Reading and Leads Festivals 2012. With their fourth album The Mindsweep already generating buzz in 2015, Enter Shikari show no signs of slowing down.

Went for You Me At Six who slayed (I don't know Enter Shikari) The Enter Shikari fans were very respectful and had great vibes I had to leave after YMAS as I live a few hours away but I'm sure the rest of the show was amazing

  • Stellar show as always

Amazing show as always. Some of the best live energy in the industry. They know to play new songs and old, and always remix tracks so while you know the song you never know what’s coming next.

  • Amazing fun!

These guys are amazing live, which brilliant dnb-esque remixes of songs - it was a mosh pit and a rave! Lots of fun!

  • Opera House fix your sound

by some guy on 2024-10-27The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Haven't been to the Opera House in ages. But was very disappointed with the sound quality. Way too low for the vocals. Missing so much sound. Way too low man. I've watched this band over ten times over ten years. This wasn't their first time in the Opera House. But it sounded just terrible. It's clear the band didn't go all out like they usually do. PS, please chill with the drink prices. That place used to be known for reasonable prices for concessions too.

I went to an all ages concert at Kool Haus in Toronto for my friend's birthday, and these guys were one of the openers for The Devil Wears Prada. Not knowing that much about them, I was really amazed at how even I, someone who didnt really know them, could have such a great time! The sound was amazing, I was right up front because it was standing room, and they played alot of great songs that I recognized from my last minute research. (Concert was on dec.16th, 2011)

A good local type show which was nice for these bands. We where right up against the stage since it was a standing concert. Great venue worth the drive from Calgary.
