    Heavenly

by Oscar Oz on 2023-10-16History - Toronto

I didn't know what to expect since I've never had the chance to see them live. I've seen their shows on YouTube and such but to experience it live is something else. And they didn't disappoint. To actually hear the vintage sounds of the guitars and piano was amazing. And the drums was just top notch. For me hearing the songs live was even better than the originals, that's how good they were. There was so much emotion from the whole band and especially Hamilton who sings his heart out. Even my friend who didn't know of the band was moved. So I recommend everyone to see them live if they get the chance! It was just heavenly.

    Incredible performance in Toronto!

    by PG on 2023-10-16

They put on a phenomenonal show at History. Truly one of the most unique bands and I surely hope this isn't the last time they tour or come to Toronto. Its been great seeing this revenge tour be a success and I hope the band sees that they're adored around the globe. The Walkmen have made some timeless music and they deserve all the love with their return.

Show was amazing! Great venue with good acoustics and staff were professionals. At some point someone stole my Walkmen tshirt which cost me 50$ so that sucked

    A true force of nature

by EdT on 2023-10-14History - Toronto

My first time seeing the band and they truly did not disappoint. I've been a fan since day one and just never had the opportunity to see them until now and I'm so thankful I made the effort to see them. Well, I would have loved to have heard "Little House of Savages"if only to see Matt beat his drums into submission on that particular tune but they were truly a joy to watch. They are clearly enjoying their reunion tour, make sure you get out there and see them. "The Rat"live? p.s. History is an icy cool and minimalist club, sound quality was quite good.

Father John Misty was amazing. I went to see him and I was not disappointed. I love the Walkmen and they killed it.

The Walkmen - good as always!!

by Tuonela on 2013-01-18The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

The concert started with Father John Misty whom I have seen for the first time. Their music is not bad just doesn't match with Walkmen's style. They did better with A.A. Bondy as an opening band when they played at the Phoenix. Keeping the focus on Walkmen I can tell you their music style is as good as it was back in the days. Their life performance was just as good as listening to their studio album which I believe is impressing in this digitized-studio-music world. Hope they come back soon and maybe to another venue!! :)

    Long But Enjoyable Show

by Nomad0 on 2012-03-05The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

The show was good. Not great. There were a lot of people talking throughout, more than normal. No opening act combined with nearly 3 hours of Walkmen made the show feel like it lasted a little long. Good band, nice venue.

Still the best live band in the world!

by commuter on 2012-03-04The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

This was my seventh, and perhaps best Walkmen show. Two and a half hours of pure passion and energy from the best kept secret in music today - it's such a shame that this band are not more well known. Highlights of the set include: the 'Bows + Arrows' trifecta (What's In It For Me, The Rat, No Christmas While I'm Talking), Ham holding the 'You Don't Like It' line from All Hands and the Cook for a good 15 seconds, and rare gems such as 138th St, Hang On, Siobhan and Rue The Day.

    An Evening With the Walkmen

Great show. They played for hours and even took requests as part of their encore
