    TCV disappointing

by stoneycanuk on 2010-06-07AC Centre - Toronto

Sound: Poor - couldn't hear the lyrics Artists: John Paul Jones showed that he can not only play the bass but also the keys! Grohl is not a John Bonham replacement - Grohl's range is very limited. Homme OK Overall: Most of the songs sounded the same except JPJ contributions. Little audience interaction. Lighting: OK

    AWESOME CONCERT!!!!!

by me2010 on 2010-05-23The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

I thought Alberta Cross was a decent opener and the main show was absolutely amazing. The fact that Caesars Windsor put this show on is fabulous. I hope more of these types of artists come to the casino.

Them Crooked Vultures show was an amazing night filled with 3 different musicians coming together to play and perform song mind blowing music. John Paul Jones can keep up with these 2 young musicians. Josh and Dave do what they do best having fun playing music rocking out!!!!

    Solid Show

by Brysho on 2010-05-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The Arkells tore up the stage to open the show, they really were the highlight for me. TCV was very good, they played well however, other then Dave Grohl, their performance could have used some work. They dragged on a few songs a bit too much. Overall though the show was pretty good.

Them Crooked Vultures were not what I hoped for

by crash4 on 2010-05-17The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Overall sound was great,Dave Groll was amazing on drums,Singer's voice was not hearable cause of the overloudness of the band.Could of played a few songs from the great bands that these fine musicians were in ,and are still in,cause not many people knew some songs that were palyed and instrumentation was too excessive(solos) which just killed time.Don't get me wrong,I love a good drum solo, or a guitar moment, but this time it was not needed.

    TCV @ ACC

by MZED on 2010-05-17Air Canada Centre - Toronto

What else can I say but it was 4 expert musicians playing outstanding music. Never have I seen a group of professionals totally rock the house like that. They were able to push the limits of the songs into another level. It was like they were just up there jamming, but they stayed tight, and no matter how far out there the music went, they could pull it back right into the song they had started with. Josh Homme is the perfect frontman, he is like a camealon, switching between hard and soft tempos without missing a beat. I loved every minute, and those moments where I some what started to mellow, I just looked over at Grohl, and every time I was sucked right back in. The man is a drum machine, a force of nature just destroying those drums. Also to see John Paul Jones was unbelievable, the man is a legend. Overall, one if not the best live shows I have ever been a part of. Even if you don't love their songs but you are a fan of music in general, see these guys, you will not regret it.

From the get go, nonstop killer tunes and unbelievable presence from everyone on stage. I had high expectations for this event but I did not get what I expected, I got all that and then some. TCV!
