    Sustandard perfomance

by doggone on 2009-11-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

This production was a major disappointment and should be an embarrassment to Broadway Across America. For the most part the talent is mediocre and the show is one to which you should think carefully about before taking young children. The performances put on by the Alberta Ballet are far superior.

    A Chorus Line - unforgettable!

by SweetCheeks22 on 2009-11-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

This was an amazing performance with a tremendous cast! The voices of these actors/actresses were in deed top notch. The dancing was fantastic. Some of these guys had bodies to die for! Overall it was a stellar performance and it was cool to be able to see the last show of this great production and have the producer share some of his moments and feelings with the audience. You could tell there was a true bond there between the cast and the producer as well as all the stage hands.

    What a wonderful play!

by Ginho on 2009-11-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

A CHORUS LINE was a very well done play. It had a great balance of dialogue and dance. The dancing, as well as the music were both wonderful. The story line was also well done and quite interesting. We certainly enjoyed the production very much!

A Chorus Line was simply fabulous!

by Gertrude on 2009-11-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The acting, singing and of course the dancing were simply spectacular. I'm glad I decided to buy tickets for myself and two daughters to attend. The humour carried through the entire, sometimes very serious, musical.

    Not so good

by MEMEMEME on 2009-11-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The show was OK. No big impressions. They repeat the same choreography about 7 times. Boring!!. Not make up. Very simple for a $100 show

A Chorus Line.....do not take your kids!!!!!!

by cprrl on 2009-11-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Show started off strong but fizzled near the end. The dancing was nice but there was not enough of it. Most of the show is monologues about each dancers life and were a bit boring. I had my 11 year old daughter with me and I was concerned about the foul language and sexual candor in the monologues. Not recommended for kids and tweens. Worse broadway show I have seen yet.

the production was true to the original film - meeting all our expectations! not knowing that it was the last time the performers were to perform until the end was a surprise! to be there at such a momentus time for them - made the evening so much more meaningful! the performers were intense and completely immersed in their roles - truly the best way to produce the entertainment of being 'part' of the performance in the audience - shown by the constant clapping and whistling going on! GREAT JOB!

    Not what I expected

by DarLin on 2009-11-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I went to Chorus Line not really having seen it before in any form or format; or knowledge of what the story was about. Though the dancing was awesome and I felt a connection to some of the characters; it was a bit disappointing. Yes, the group has been travelling for 18 months and Nov 15th performance was their final performace; but I couldn't help thinking about 1/2 through the production that this show may be better suited for the Mayfield Dinner Theater in Edmonton. I wasn't expecting the continual dialogue between the dance characters and the 'director'. I found it to be a bit repetative and was hoping for more dancing or more interaction between the characters.

    Wow - boring!

by Jellybeaniebaby on 2009-11-15Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I've been to some amazing Broadway shows, but this wasn't one of them. The participants were good, but there was really no story line, no props, none of the amazing wow factor that most of the shows have. Frankly, I slept through some of it.

A Chorus Line was something worthwhile to see.

by Br33ze on 2009-11-15Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I could not believe the incredible amount of talent these performers have. Every step and and height of the foot was perfectly in unison. Job well done wanted to see more.

    Chorus line

by jt33 on 2009-11-15Norhtern Jubilee Audtiorium - Edmonton

Too much talking, not enough good quality dancing. Quality of singing was not good. The bad language that was used did not make it any better. It was a waste of money. Good thing there was not an intermission - otherwise I would have left. Should have an age restriction too - I noticed some children in the audience.

    Best part was leaving

by cmydisappointment on 2009-11-15Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I was extremely disappointed with pretty much the entire production and regret even spending money to park. Singing was weak, dancing mediocre and there was far to much promoting of lifestyle. The dance number at the very end being the only point that was well done. I was also supprised to find them promoting and looking for donations for their charities at the end.

    Just okay

by Cmaynes on 2009-11-15Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I thought the cast did very well, just didn't excite me though. Each cast person did their charater well but I was maybe expecting more. I did watch the movie in the 80's so maybe that's why I was expecting more. The theatre was not very full and that was disappointing. The only reaason I knew the show was coming was because I saw a commercial on a Vancouver TV channel!

    I am surprised!

by DLynnW on 2009-11-15Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I am a regular at the Jubilee, Winspear and the Citadel, attending all sorts of events including operas, operettas, the symphony, recitals, the ballet, and other productions such as musical and / or dramatic plays. I was a bit surprised with this production, the biggest surprise being my understanding as to how this production has withstood the passage of time to still be a production that people flock to. I suppose I should have done some research on the production before I attended, but I did not. The performances by the actors were very well done, but the story line was not what I had hoped for in a Broadway production. I took a first timer to the production, telling him that he was going to be awed by the production, but to my dismay, it was not up to par compared to other productions I have seen.

We took our 14 and 11 year old girls to see this with us. It was a huge splurge for us and we expected to see an amazing and unforgettable show-especially for the money we spent. We were extremely disappointed in the entire thing. There were no sets, no amazing acting, no amazing singing....etc. Instead we got an earful of curse words, and all kinds of sex related dialogue. We were embarrassed to be seen there with our kids. They were bored and wanted to leave part way thru the show. I would never recommend this show to anyone. It was boring and filled with unnecessary garbage.
