  • MTJ wasn't bad

by MTJfan on 2009-11-23Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 4 out of 5

This is not our first time going to Monster Truck Jam at Copps. Overall it was a great show and the seats were great too. It is a great family event to go to, as long as you bring the ear protection for ever one. The only disappontment was near the end when the trucks were doing the freestyle competition, and Grave Digger and El Toro loco we're tied. Instead of doing a big finally as they usually do, they asked the audience to applaud to determine who was the winner. My son loved the show but we were all disappointed by the uneventful ending. Yeah sure the trucks do have a lot of damage and that may have been the reason for the short ending, but even the drivers when they all came out just looked like they had enough. But we will still go to the Rogers Centre in January for the next show!

  • IT SHOULD BE ' MINI JAM'

    by KIMMI3COATES on 2009-11-23Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 4 out of 5

we were there for 2 hours and literally only had about 20 minutes of MONSTER TRUCKS. we have been to the one in Rogers Center and seen how awsome it can be. COPPS collisium is ot equipped to hold the real MONSTER JAM. the whole venue was good but could have been much better if they had more room to JAM I HAVE TICKETS FOR TORONTO now that's MONSTER JAM

The kids really enjoyed themselves, especially the aerobatics (motocycles). Lots of damage & crushing. Food & general treats were very expensive. My daughter just wanted some cotton candy but it was $10-15, I wasn't prepared to pay that for sugar and a hat that would be tossed into the corner of unwanted toys. We would go again, probably to a bigger venue just for a change.

  • Monster Jam great for little 4 year olds

by Gravedigger on 2009-11-23Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

This was our first time at Monster Jam and it was for my son's 4th birthday present! He was so excited to see all the monster trucks but especially Grave Digger. It is very difficult to get my son speechless...but he was in awe the whole show! Thank you!

  • Monster Jam

First time going. The actual races looked like they had planned winners - kinda like pro wrestling minus the tassels. The cool thing about it is the HUGE jacked up vehicles. They are loud so be sure to bring ear plugs. The main issue with Copps Colesium is that it's a little small for these monster trucks to rip around the track. The 4x4 and motocross tricks were cool. I would recommend to first timers to check out - but not a repeat.

  • Monster Jam not so big of a Monster...

    by runner41 on 2009-11-22Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 2 out of 5

The latest offering of Monster Jam at Copps Coliseum proved that the venue can make or break the event. It was too small for the big trucks to do jumps and roles that they're famous for. Seeing them at the Rogers Centre gives you much more value for your hard earned dollars. The structure of this show left a lot to be desired as well. We got there at 1:45pm for a 2:00pm show. The trucks didn't appear until 2:30pm and I'd say we saw them for a grand total of about 20min. over the next hour and a quarter. The majority of time was taken up with ATV races and freestyle motorcross jumping respectively,(surprisingly it was the latter event that saved the day as these guys were terrific!). I wouldn't do something like this again because there wasn't much value in it. You pay a good price for the tickets and don't see the trucks (only six made the show) much at all. $0.89 of cotton candy topped off with a styrofoam hat worth $1.50 (and I'm probably inflating this price) went for $15.00 and is mandatory fodder for the kids. Pizza was $5.00/slice and you've got to give them something while they patiently wait for the Monster Trucks to finally appear between lengthy ATV races (which if I were a cat and loved watching things go round and round would've been great). The bonus of the day was that apparently I was in the minority of people who hadn't figured all of this out yet and as such had a lot of seats around me to sit in.

by granmakat on 2009-11-22Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 1 out of 5

copps arena was too small for the trucks, there were quad bikes and motocross displayed but not worth the hundred dollar tickets for 3 ; 2 grandparents and one 6 year old we had more fun at Harvey's restaurant before the show.

  • Terrible Venue

by ASizzle on 2009-11-22Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 1 out of 5

If you are planning on enjoying this event as you see it on television, do not go to Copps Coliseum. The venue is much too small. It is really disappointing for the kids who want to see the big jumps and racing. I have attended this event in Toronto at the Rogers Centre and found it very entertaining.

  • Monster Jam Rocks

by BrockTheRock on 2009-11-22Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 4 out of 5

All in all I think that Monster Jam puts on a Great show! I would however like to see them in a bigger area, maybe out door stadium that is way bigger. I think they would be able to do more of what they are capable of doing on tv if they had more space to work with. It would be nice to see more crashing and smashing.

  • Monster Jam Rocked!

It was ok. More for the little guys! I think if the arena was bigger they could have done more. I did enjoy the motorcross show.

  • Monster Jam

Excellent, lots of big names, lots of thrills, great seats.

  • Arena too small

by MJamfan on 2009-11-22Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 2 out of 5

We were disappointed in the Monster Jam. We found that the arena was too small for the monster trucks to do much of anything. Also disappointed that there were only 6 trucks there. The 4-wheelers & dirt bikes were neat to watch - the arena was more their size! We don't plan on attending any Monster Jam events at Copps or any other small arena again. You need something at least as big as Roger's Centre so the trucks can actually have a decent race.

  • Great Show

by Anonymous on 2009-11-22Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 4 out of 5

This was our second time seeing Monster Jam at this location. The show was amazing, as they always are, but they are still def better to see in Toronto!

  • Digger rocked the house!

by Roxx on 2009-11-22Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 4 out of 5

Great show as usual. They do need to get rid of the quad wars and replace with something more exciting. You can't go wrong with the kids when you combine noise and destruction.

  • monster jam was great

  • Just okay...

by Peopleeater on 2009-11-22Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 2 out of 5

The venue is too small. There is too much time between events. You don't need an intermission for such a short show. It was better last year when guys took their own trucks instead of the ATV's.
