As the man behind some of Lady Gaga’s biggest hits and a featured artist on over 35 Billboard Hot 100 singles, Senegalese-raised R&B singer/producer Akon is one of the most ubiquitous – and unique – artists in contemporary hip hop. With 2013 the release of “Angel,” the David Guetta-produced lead single from his upcoming fourth studio album Stadium, Akon scored another hit and signaled a turn towards an increasingly dance-oriented sound. “Angel” follows the success of 2009’s chart-topping Freedom, which added to his already-impressive solo career with hits like “Right Now (Na Na Na)” and “I’m So Paid (feat. A singer and multi-instrumentalist, he attracted the attention of label execs in 2003 with “Lonely,” which would go on to be a No. 1 single from his 2004 debut Trouble. 2006 follow-up Konvicted proved even more successful, earning Akon several Grammy nominations and his first No. 1 on the Hot 100 with “I Wanna Love You (feat. Snoop Dogg).” Ticket buyers rave about Akon’s positive energy and special guest-filled live concerts, while looking forward to the upcoming release of his fourth studio album Stadium.
It was awesome up until the point where akon came and jumped into the crowd, exactly where I was sitting. It was kaos; my friend and I got bruises! There were soooooooo many groupie just throwing themselves at akon and it was hilarious how he burned them "no shame."
Best concert i'v ever been to, really includes the audience. If he comes again, i'm gettin front row tickets!

IT STARTED OFF WITH ROSETTE!! OMG THEN CAME OUT CARL HENRY!!! GIRL DIIIIIM THE LIGHTTTTS!! WOW!! AND THEN OH MAN KARL WOLF!!! AFRIIIIICA! WHAT A CUTIE! AND YOU CANNOT FORGET DANNY FERNANDES!!!! I SCREAMED!!!!! ALL HIS SONGS WERE AWESOME! FANTASY IS MY FAVOURITE SO I WAS SUPER SUPER EXCITED TO SING ALONG AND DANCE! WOW! AMAZING DANCERS HE HAD WITH HIM!! KYLE KASS BEING ONE OF THEM! HAD NO IDEA HE WAS THE ONE FROM THE NATURALLY SADIE SHOW!!! I LOVED THE FACT HIS DANCERS RAN AROUND GM PLACE!! ME AND MY GIRLS TOOK PICS WITH HIM! IT WAS AMAZING! AND THEN OH MY AFTER THE BREAK.. AKON!!!!! I WAS AMAZED! HE SANG SOOOOOO MANY SONGS! HE PUT THEM ALL TOGETHER AWESOMELY!!! HOW HE HAD THE SCRIPT AND THE CODE WORD: AKON! HAHA WOW! IT WAS SOOOOO WONDERFUL! AKON WAS FOR THE FANS AND NOT HIMSELF/MONEY! SO THAT'S ESPECIALLY WHY I LOVED IT!! I WAS VERY IMPRESSED!! ME AND MY GIRLS STOOD ON OUR CHAIRS! WE SANG DANCED HAD A BLAST!! DEFINITELY WILL BE SITTING FRONT ROW FOR A FUTURE SHOW!! P.S. my feet were absolutely KILLING at the end of the night. Walking from GM to the skytrain to the car and home was BRUTAL but hey!! it was SOOO worth it!! YAAAY!! This was my 2nd concert (first Beyonce) and WOWERZ! I had an amazing time!!! <3
Danny Fernandes and Karl Wolfe were not very good but Carl Henry tore up the stage. Akon was very good and his soulful voice filled the stadium quite nicely, overall good show
AKON WAS AMAZINGGGG :) but the crowd at the beginning wasn't very into it. but as soon as akon came on it was amazinggg
It was a very energetic concert and the crowd was very close and intimate. Akon had alot of energy and from 3rd row it was a great view! Definately worth the $150! although it would have been nice to pay a smaller price and then get upgraded like everyone else ended up getting. If your an akon fan you will love this concert! PS- stage could have been a bit more eye appealing.
It was an unforgettable concert from the 3 amazing opening acts in karl wolf, danny fernandes and carl henry to close to the end when he called everyone down to the floor regardless of what security does it was one the bes concerts i have ever been to and i will definitly see him again
Akon is such a great performer! He always talks to the audience and tries to get everyone pumped up and included in his show. I would definitely recommend to go to one of his shows because he also supports young upcoming artists who are trying to break out and become as famous as him and make their own concert one day! He is a good role model for those guys and other aspiring artists out there!

A good show, although not a concert. It was very entertaining but I paid to see Akon sing, and most of his songs were shortened. I had a good time and would go again but I would like to see more singing next time!

Akon and his guests blew my mind last night! They all interacted with the audience, and were unbelievable showstoppers!! They spoke to us, acknowledged us, and made us feel special for being there. There was no other place i'd rather be that watching Akon and Karl Wolf tell stories -through music. Akon loved the crowd, and made us all feel special. He interacted with us and made us feel like family. The songs he picked were perfect, and his band and DJ were breathtaking. I laughed, cried, and did not stop smiling, It was truly a night I will never ever forget. It goes to show no matter how big a star you are, the fans are the people who make the stars, and Akon and his guests seemed so pleased and excited that we were supporting them. It was one of the best concerts of my life, not to mention on of the most fun nights I will remember forever!
first of all the star of the concert Akon, kept the audience waiting for over 2 hours - definetely will not go to see HIM again ! Second of all the faul language and profanity used by all performers but especially the DJ for Akon was absurd!!! For God's sake there were kinds watching. And lastly the music was so Ridiculously loud that I couldn't even watch the whole even and had to leave shortly after Akon finally decided to appear. Hardly heard the voices of anyone, other then the thunder from the Bass of the music. Very poorly done ! Would never pay to see anyone of the self-proclaimed performers ever !!
My boyfriend and I went to the concert last night. It was good, but not as good when I saw Sean Paul, Wyclef and Akon last summer at GM. My boyfriend enjoyed it and so did I. This time there was no showy stuff- no dancers, big screens, light show, ect. I feel this would have made it better as we had good seats by still could not see the faces of the artists; at least with big screens this is possible.
This was supposed to be a class act event. Where to start, well most of the music was taped except for akon and his music sucked as well. His singing was good. Very disappointed as I am a huge akon fan. His DJ Benny is an idiot. This event was supposed to be for all ages, and reverted into body mauling of akon in the end. Maybe this was to make up for the show over all. If the music was not so loud you could of heard akon better. I think due to the poor ticket sales , they should have canceled this event. I paid the same for coldplay and that was a 10 star performance, at least they had musicians that could play. Differently feel ripped off. If these performers can't cut it with talented musicians behind them. Then should stick to the studio. :(
Not only were the opening performance by the illustrious Karl Wolf and Danny Fernandes fantastic, but the incredible Akon rocked the show. His interaction with the crowd made the night that much better. I'm very pleased to say that I went to this concert.
8:00 - 11:30 ... every minute was amazing!! KARL WOLF and DANNY FERNANDEZSwere awesome and AKON was incredible. He litterally jumpd into the crowd, it was INSANE! Afterparty was OFF THE HOOK!! VIP WAS AMAZING! Definately reccomend seeing these guys tto anyone... and work it to get backstage and afterparty invites is a must!!!!
What an enjoyable and energetic show! I loved both these performers and their crews! The crowds went nuts for both of them and their music was bumpin' and HUGE! Also got Karl Wolf autographs!! Thank you KW!
