After establishing himself as one of country's biggest stars and consistent hitmakers over two decades, Alan Jackson undertook a labor of love in 2013 and released his first bluegrass album, appropriately dubbed The Bluegrass Album. Despite being somewhat of a niche release, it still reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, a testament to the huge and loyal fanbase Jackson has built over the years. He's sold more than 60 million albums worldwide over the course of his career, topped the country singles chart over 20 times and counts two Grammy Awards among the many statues in his trophy case. Among his best-known hits are "Don't Rock the Jukebox," "Chattahoochee," "Drive (For Daddy Gene)," "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)," A Georgia native, Jackson got his big break when his wife, a flight attendant, spotted country-pop legend Glen Campbell in an airport waiting room and slipped him one of Jackson's demo tapes. That led to a contact with Campbell's publishing company and a move to Nashville for the couple. Jackson released his debut album, "Here in the Real World," in 1990, and his new traditionalist style was an immediate hit, spawning five Top 5 hits. As he developed his catalog of hits, ticket sales for his concerts grew steadily. He continues to tour regularly, consistently drawing huge crowds to arenas.

Hi , I Just had the honor of seeing my favorite counrty artist LIVE in St. John's Newfoundland. Canada. We seldom get just big artist to come here but I'm sure glad Alan Jackson took the time to schedule 3 concerts here. ALL 3 shows sold out and Alan certainly did not disappoint. The show was amazing and he added a personal touch to the show ...a video in the back ground of the local scenery that played during his song "Where I Come From" and he also thanked the people of our GREAT province for all the help given to our Americian friend during the tramatic days of 911. I would have loved to meet him since we sing some of his songs and recieved our first Standing Ovation singing "Where were you ...When the world stopped turning" . For those who haven't see Alan Jackson in Concert....Spend the money and see him when he is in your area!!!! I guarantee you will not be disappointed!!!! He'll leave you wanting more!!!!!
The two opening singers were great. They could have their own concert. The show lasted for 4 hours and was the best country music you could have heard. Alan Jackson was great and his songs all had personal life experiences for him. All I can say it was the best. I would love to see him again
The show was excellent. I've seen Alan perform four times previously and he completely changed his ending. Normally he comes back out to do Mercury Blues but not this time, he came back out and did where I come from and Great Balls of Fire. In all he spent about an hour and fifty minutes on stage which was well worth the price. Then you add in the fact that he wasn't alone and there was Josh Turner and Chris Young with him and it's just great!!! The only downside was I forgot my camera and my view would've been great for taking pictures.
My whole group that went to this concert thought it was amazing. Alan was great as was George Canyon. Best Concert in ages. Thanks So much
Alan Jackson Concert was so amazing! i was completely speachless! i only was dissappointed on how long he played. I wish it would have been longer. i was gone before 11.
Alan Jackson sounded aweseome! He sounded the exact same as he did on his albums! My friends and I were very impressed :) I enjoyed the Enmax Centrium its big but not to big, much better location then Rexall in Edmonton. However his down fall was that he didn't not move much just stood there the whole time. Overall though I had an awesome time!
It was awesome to hear Alan's voice, when he sang his first song, I had a well of tears spring up in my eyes....caught me totally off guard. So many good memories I have that are linked to his songs. My deceased brother played most of them because Alan was his heroe. Now my spouse plays Alan's songs so I still have some down home country! But the best was being able to hear Alan Jackson in concert. It was a bit crowded in the seats and I would have preferred to be out front of the stage instead of in the stands. It would have been unforgettable if I could have met him in person, shook his hand and got a picture with him. That would have made my night!
It was fantastic even with the bad weather. Everyone in our group enjoy it very much. We just wished it could of been longer.
Bought tickets for my Mom & Dads anniversary,My Mom is doing survay to answer questions . Allan Jackson was one of the things to see & do on my Bucket list He was all I imagined him to be & then some . Thanks to our daughters for the gift & to Allan for making it wonderful. We will be playing" Remember When" at our 40th Anniversary Only 2 words LOVED IT
Simply amazing...the king of country at his finest!!!
George Canyon was a wonderful beginning to the evening. His voice is just as strong and true live as it is on the radio! Alan Jackson is one of my favorite artists and he didn't disappoint. Actually I enjoyed this show more than the last time I saw him in Calgary a few years ago! The man has never released a bad song and his lyrics always touch me!
Alan Jackson sang all of his hit songs new and old. Great sound and a good full house crowd in Red Deer.
I am a huge Alan Jackson fan and was at his concert a few years ago when he came with Brooks and Dunn. Now I was thinking that he would change his songs up a bit, and it seemed like he did the same old songs at the concert from before !! It would of been a good concert for people who haven't seen him in concert before. George Canyon was great, he kept the crowd going and moved around the stage.
I really enjoyed George Canyon. He is such a nice guy, signed a picture for me after the show, great smile!! Alan Jackson is a great entertainer as well. Sang some great songs! Enjoyed the whole evening.
I was impressed with George Canyon...VERY personable and had the right mix of talk and song. It was nice that he explained some of the song's origins. Alan Jackson was somewhat disappointing in that with the huge repitoire of songs he has, he sang probably less than half of them. A one song encore was qiute disappointing. He should have had at least a 2 hour show(This does not include the warm up act or the stage setup[which needless to say at 35 minutes was about 15 minutes TOOOOO long]). I say this as I have seen him at least twice before. The songs he did sing were done well and the videos for the songs were expected. The one video of the City of Saskatoon was astounding considering that there was a huge storm the day before and the day of the concert. Overall I would give this a 6.5 out of 10 for value, a 7.5 out of 10 for entertainment value. Unfortunately he does not have any new songs out(or he chose not to sing them) which would have added value.
Alan did a spectacular job...wayy better than any other time I have seen him...and trust me I have seen him lots....he didnt just stand around this time and was VERY interactive with the crowd.HA and even handled the crazy people who did jump at him on stage very well! Loved him, he did not have one bad note (besides the stupid centrium sound check guys didnt do their job because there was such a bad echo!!!) but his voice sounded great! Love would to see him again and again and again and would recommend anyone to go see him!!
The show was excellent. He sang nonstop and included some great video. He could have sang longer. He was about 10 minutes late and didn't give us those 10 minutes at the end. He came back for one song for an encore but he could have done about 3. We were unhappy with our seats as they gave us seats in the players box and only notified us of a change 3 days before the concert and they were not as good seats. If a venu is moving you, it should be closer to the stage not farther away. Glad people were able to make it despite the big snow storm.
We have seen AJ a number of times. Although he is getting less active and a little shorter performances, his voice is still incredible and the videos he has playing behind him are getting better all the time. He may not be running all over the stage but people are pretty much mesmerized by the sound of his voice, great songs and great videos.
George Canyon was great - great performer and voice. He looked happy to be here. My husband loves Alan Jackson's music and we were both happy with the sound quality and songs he sang. What we were both disappointed with was Alan Jackson's performance. It was really hard for him to crack a smile. He looked as if he did not want to be there. One of my friend's son had a backstage meet and greet and Alan entered the room and didn't even say hello. Hope this was just a really bad day for Alan and not the norm.
