About

After establishing himself as one of country's biggest stars and consistent hitmakers over two decades, Alan Jackson undertook a labor of love in 2013 and released his first bluegrass album, appropriately dubbed The Bluegrass Album. Despite being somewhat of a niche release, it still reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, a testament to the huge and loyal fanbase Jackson has built over the years. He's sold more than 60 million albums worldwide over the course of his career, topped the country singles chart over 20 times and counts two Grammy Awards among the many statues in his trophy case. Among his best-known hits are "Don't Rock the Jukebox," "Chattahoochee," "Drive (For Daddy Gene)," "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)," A Georgia native, Jackson got his big break when his wife, a flight attendant, spotted country-pop legend Glen Campbell in an airport waiting room and slipped him one of Jackson's demo tapes. That led to a contact with Campbell's publishing company and a move to Nashville for the couple. Jackson released his debut album, "Here in the Real World," in 1990, and his new traditionalist style was an immediate hit, spawning five Top 5 hits. As he developed his catalog of hits, ticket sales for his concerts grew steadily. He continues to tour regularly, consistently drawing huge crowds to arenas.

The show was great but it was a BIG disapointment that he only say for an hour. Honestly, for all the hits he has and price of the tickets, I think he could have given us a longer show.

  • Allan Jackson was totally awesome

Having seats in 8th row on floor and dead center was the best place to be. Only bad thing, was Allan looked pretty tired. Otherwise, it was a grand old time in the Opry!

The concert was great, right from the time George Canyon stepped on stage until Alan Jackson left. George Canyon put off a great show and was great with the fans. Alan Jackson was totally awesome. He was well worth going to see and I would definitely go again. He was fabulous with the fans and gave an excellent performance!!

I enjoy the consert tremendously, and wouldn't have missed it for the world. Can't wait till he comes back again - I really hope he does. Prices was very reasonable.

  • The best encore ever! Very impressed!

The best encore I have ever seen. It was really nice to see him (or at least someone) do a little research into our city and incorporate the things our city is known for into his show. It really added a lot to the show.

Recommend attending this event, Alan Jackson is very plain, down to earth entertainer.

  • Alan Jackson is a wonderful entertainer!

The opening act - George Canyon was awesome! I would have liked it if he had played a little longer than 30 mins. He has such a wonderful voice! Alan Jackson is an awesome entertainer. He wows the crowd and gets them singing and dancing! His big screen with videos sure adds to the show. Fantastic show!!

  • Allan Jackson/George Canyon was great!

The concert was really good - only one complaint - Allan Jackson could have been on a little longer. Otherwise, both stars were great!

The concert was great! I had seen Alan's concert in Saskatoon, April 2008, and knew what to expect. He did not disppoint. We had taken our daughter and two of her friends, all special needs young adults, and they all loved the concert. It was enjoyable seeing their reaction when Alan played their favorites.

I would have appreciated a concert longer than 75 minutes, but what there was was great.

  • Alan Jackson a classic country performer

The only negative is the Brandt Centre. It is old, sound is terrible, seats are small, concessions inaccessible. The facility needs to be replaced! So many great events fall just that little bit short in a facility like the Brandt Centre.

  • Alan Jackson 20 years of GOLD

    by ryce1417 on 2010-01-24Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - ReginaRating: 4 out of 5

Alan Jackson plays his concerts just like he sings.. Laid back and on key. Alan proceeded to amaze us with his newest and his older hits that had his audience singing along especially in the final half of the show. Backed up by fine musicians and special effects, it was a evening well worth the money.

  • Alan Jackson - Totally Amazing

by foxystargazer on 2010-01-24Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - ReginaRating: 5 out of 5

This man is totally amazing. He has stayed true to his style of music and I for one am so thankful for that. When he smiles, he is genuine. I was sitting in the floor area in the eighth row. So great!!! He is one of those artists that we can all relate to his songs. Could have listened to him for another hour. Bring him back again and again!!!

  • AWESOME!!!!
