About
After establishing himself as one of country's biggest stars and consistent hitmakers over two decades, Alan Jackson undertook a labor of love in 2013 and released his first bluegrass album, appropriately dubbed The Bluegrass Album. Despite being somewhat of a niche release, it still reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, a testament to the huge and loyal fanbase Jackson has built over the years. He's sold more than 60 million albums worldwide over the course of his career, topped the country singles chart over 20 times and counts two Grammy Awards among the many statues in his trophy case. Among his best-known hits are "Don't Rock the Jukebox," "Chattahoochee," "Drive (For Daddy Gene)," "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)," A Georgia native, Jackson got his big break when his wife, a flight attendant, spotted country-pop legend Glen Campbell in an airport waiting room and slipped him one of Jackson's demo tapes. That led to a contact with Campbell's publishing company and a move to Nashville for the couple. Jackson released his debut album, "Here in the Real World," in 1990, and his new traditionalist style was an immediate hit, spawning five Top 5 hits. As he developed his catalog of hits, ticket sales for his concerts grew steadily. He continues to tour regularly, consistently drawing huge crowds to arenas.

His singing is out of this world
by daschie on 2010-01-23Enmax Centrium - Red DeerRating: 5 out of 5He was great BUT we believe he is not truly healthy.... he could not sing his encore song and several times later in the show we thought he had trouble breathing.............We hope he gets his health back. ON WITH THE REVIEW: absolutely fantastic show.................s show.......... ON THE WHOLE...........A GREAT SHOW AND THE SOUND WAS WAY BETTER THAN AT THE SADDLEDOME IN CALGARY WHERE WE SAW ALAN LAST TIME...............We are finding the sound way better at the Centrium. (Reba in Calgary last summer was a great disappointment) Brooks & Dunn in Red Deer was great sound as well.
Alan Jackson set the place on fire
by Teddy202 on 2010-01-23Enmax Centrium - Red DeerRating: 5 out of 5George Canyon opened with a blast and got the crowd fired up for Alan Jackson. Alan sang his greatest hit songs and whipped the crowd into a a frenzy. Great time was had by everyone. His video of Red Deer was a hit. Alan left the crowd demanding for more and came back to sign autographs...how many big name stars do that ???????
Best Ever!!
by ronlaurs on 2010-01-23Enmax Centrium - Red DeerRating: 5 out of 5Alan Jackson's concert was unbelievable. He does an amazing job. His music is so good. And he puts on such a performance, his videos that show on the screens are wonderful. Some of them just bring tears to your eyes. Then with George Canyon opening for him it just put it over the top.
Alan Jackson
by Gally on 2010-01-23Enmax Centrium - Red DeerRating: 5 out of 5Alan Jackson was amazing. He sang all his most popular songs!! We enjoyed it!! However, was very disappointed when the November show was postponed. Had to take time off work to attend in January and the highways were crap for our 200 mile drive home.
Alan Jackson concert
by eventer1 on 2010-01-23Enmax Centrium - Red DeerRating: 1 out of 5Alan Jackson and George Canyon gave great performances. It was spoiled by the loud, boorish behaviour of the young men and women in the row behind us. Security were nowhere to be seen, and any requests made to them to tone it down only resulted in more foul language. The two couples beside chose to leave about halfway through. Overall two good artists but completely spoiled by the drunken selfish behaviour behind us. I would give the artists 5 stars, but not the venue.
Alan Jackson
by grammaof2 on 2010-01-23Enmax Centrium - Red DeerRating: 5 out of 5They were both amazing. Would go again in a heart beat. Sometines hard to see with the people standing up, but they were just excited. And also they didn't have any CD's that we could find.
Alan Jackson was a great show
by Chester74 on 2010-01-23Enmax Centrium - Red DeerRating: 4 out of 5Mr. Jackson proved once again that he is a great entertainer. The show consisted of many of his old classics as well as some new ones. He opened by telling us that he had 20 years of material and he was just gonna play some fun stuff some love stuff and that is exactly what he did. Great show well worth the price of admission
Jackson's lyricks are supberb
by ClassyNSassy on 2010-01-23Enmax Centrium - Red DeerRating: 3 out of 5Jackson sang non-stop for 2 hours and did not even look tired. He has a packed schedule in Canada and that alone is tiring. His staff really tried to make us feel "home town" by presenting pictures of our city. The accoustics in the arena are not the greatest and the background reverberations made this concert just okay. At a live concert it would be nice to get to know the performer better and even letting us know what inspired a song would be a great addition. I can listen to the CD and get better sound quality so I go to the performance to connect with the performer. Although Jackson spent time signing T-shirt, hats and autographs he still felt removed from the audience. Maybe he doesn't like live performances.

I would highly recomend the show. The sound could have been turned down some as it was so loud that it was hard to understand some of the lyrics. One of the ushers was terrific in helping me. I have a pin in my leg and cann't bend it very much and the space between the seats was to tight, she went out of her way to find us chairs to sit on so we were able to enjoy the show.
alan and george great

Allan Jackson was fantastic!!
by 1Babe on 2009-12-04Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5I thought it was such an amazing concert. Allan seems like such a down to earth, regular type guy, that likes to have fun in his spare time. I really enjoyed watching his personal pictures on the big screen, it was great to see his mom and dad and the video with his daughters. I have been married for twenty three years, and so pleased that Allan and his wife worked things out. Thanks so much for the great concert in Prince George, BC Canada.

Allan Jackson concert was amazing
by Anonymous on 2009-11-24Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5This was one of the best concerts we have ever attended. Well worth the drive over the terrible highways to get there!
- by Laine on 2009-11-24Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 2 out of 5
George Canyon was the opener, and I wish he would have played longer after seeing Alan Jackson. At least George had some energy and enthusiam showing unlike Jackson. He played about 1 1/2 hours, but just seemed kind of old and tired. Unfortunately, a lot of 'big' names don't put much effort into the venues that aren't in major centers, Allan Jackson seemed to be one more of them. Guess we who live in smaller centers aren't worth as much!
fantastic
by snork on 2009-11-23Interior Savings Centre - KamloopsRating: 5 out of 5It was fantastic everyone we went with had a blast. I would recommend it to any one and going through ticket master was great. I was a little nervous at first about ordering on line. But it was great. It was well worth the 4 day total drive to the concert.
Just a good 'ol boy!
by Pchez on 2009-11-21Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5Song after song, Alan Jackson was just amazing! Waited many years to see him and he certainly did not disappoint. Sang songs I had forgot about, but loved again when his rich sounding voice pulled them out. The videos and clips shown on the backdrop made the the show even better, and his voice was a clear and perfect just like on his recordings. The interaction with the crowd and his stories were well received, and he certainly seemed genuine in his thankfullness for everyone that went to see him. Keep it up Alan, I would see you again and again!!

We really enjoyed Alan and George, but the noise and disrespect around us was terrible. The young people were drinking so much spilling beer and did not listen standing we could not see or hear the concert. They would stick there tongue out to us and disrespect. Fling arms and hit me. I was sitting on floor.
