About
After establishing himself as one of country's biggest stars and consistent hitmakers over two decades, Alan Jackson undertook a labor of love in 2013 and released his first bluegrass album, appropriately dubbed The Bluegrass Album. Despite being somewhat of a niche release, it still reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, a testament to the huge and loyal fanbase Jackson has built over the years. He's sold more than 60 million albums worldwide over the course of his career, topped the country singles chart over 20 times and counts two Grammy Awards among the many statues in his trophy case. Among his best-known hits are "Don't Rock the Jukebox," "Chattahoochee," "Drive (For Daddy Gene)," "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)," A Georgia native, Jackson got his big break when his wife, a flight attendant, spotted country-pop legend Glen Campbell in an airport waiting room and slipped him one of Jackson's demo tapes. That led to a contact with Campbell's publishing company and a move to Nashville for the couple. Jackson released his debut album, "Here in the Real World," in 1990, and his new traditionalist style was an immediate hit, spawning five Top 5 hits. As he developed his catalog of hits, ticket sales for his concerts grew steadily. He continues to tour regularly, consistently drawing huge crowds to arenas.

by Anonymous on 2009-11-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5My husband, daughter and myself went to see ALanJackson, his show wasn't fancy just so enjoyable!! He doesn't talk alot to his audience,he just sings his most unforgettable songs..We went to enjoy all of his music and that is what he did...played his music for his audience. We enjoyed the screens and the sound was clear (I am hearing impaired and at most concerts I cannot hear clearly with my hearing aids) but this concert was the best I have been to !! Thank-you to Alan Jackson,George Canyon and bands !!

Great show - the PG video was a good touch. Very enjoyable!
Alan Jackson was great
by towngrandma on 2009-11-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 4 out of 5I really enjoyed Alan Jackson, even if we couldn't see him from our seats on the floor. Everyone was standing so our view of him was blocked except on the two screens. I was even more impressed with George Canyon!! What a great Canadian guy.

Alan Jackson put on a great performance and is a great entertainer.
George and Al, wow!!!!!
by Bosco on 2009-11-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 4 out of 5Alan Jackson was just what I expected. He was the real deal. Not disapointing to true country fans. The only bad thing I have to say about the concert is that it was too short.I wanted him to play longer.I went to Willie Nelson last year and he played forever. That was the longest concert I have ever been to.Alan is much younger than Willie,he should have been able to play longer than he did.I also like it when the artist comes out with a multi song encore.Alan just can out with one song.It would have been nice to have had a longer encore. We where on the floor, row 14,so the sound for us was great. But our friends were up in ZA section and they said the sound was terrible. If you are going to sell out an act like this you have to make sure that every seat in the house has the same experience. Now being on the floor gave us a close view of the stage. But I was not happy with the people that didn't stay in their seats and were rushing up the isles to get closer. These people were in our way,so they blocked our view. After awhile the security would chase them back to their seats, but that was temperary because they would be back again when another song they liked started.I think that security should have done a better job of keeping people in their seats.I didn't pay good money for my ticket to see the back of a sceaming girls head!!!
Excellent Entertainer
by MissCue on 2009-11-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5I was very impressed with Alan Jackson's concert in Prince George. He interacted with the audience more than most I've seen, he sounded just like he does on his cd's, and showed he is a very personal person. What impressed me the most, he took the time to get his crew to go around PG and take photos of landmarks and businesses. They put it together in a slideshow/video and the crowd loved it. Never seen anyone take the time to get to know our city and then show us while playing a great tune. He still sounds great and looks great too. Loved the ripped jeans. They went well with his killer smile. His shirt was too long though. :) Good job Alan and look forward to seeing you in PG again!!! Thanks for the awesome show!!!
george was great

Alan Jackson - to die for!!
by krysta9 on 2009-11-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5Alan Jackson was superbe. He didn't disappoint one person in the crowd. He's a perfect gentleman and it showed. It was great hearing him sing all his hits in person. Family is very important to him and it came across in his music. Hopefully, he'll make a return engagement to the area. If he does, I'll be right there to welcome him.

Alan and George were unbelievable.
by anticipation on 2009-11-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5I think for my sister and I this had be the best entertainers that Prince George has brought in. I have been to most of the concerts and between the two stars they top the charts in my books. They even beat Brooks and Dunn, which should have taken alot but it seemed to be Brooks or Dunn. Alan and George a job well done. Good luck to you both.
What an Entertaining Night
by Countryboyatheart on 2009-11-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 4 out of 5What a Show! It was fantastic. Ranks right up there with Toby Keith and Big n Rich for big names coming to Prince George. George Canyon did an excellent job and it was great that he did a meet an greet after his performance

by bremis on 2009-11-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 4 out of 5George Canyon was excellent got into the crowd and so was Alan Jackson. He sang all kinds of old and new songs and was right on key. The only down fall was too long in between sets.
Alan Jackson was super super wonderful
by sexygramma on 2009-11-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5I loved every minute of it. He is my all time favorite and have been waiting to go to one of his shows. He just stands there and sings with his wonderful voice and the crowd goes wild, especially when he does the hee haw thing. I will treasure this concert forever.
Alan Jackson rocked PG
by HartBooks on 2009-11-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5Class act. Alan Jackson was totally relaxed with himself and the audience. Amazing vocals - powerful voice. Great grin. I like that he shows his family in the video clips. Was a super touch to have his tech folks take video clips from all around Prince George the day of the performance and work them into the background for 'Where I Come From'. After doing his encore he told the crowd they were a 'sweet audience' - I don't think a Prince George crowd has ever been called sweet before - Cord Lund & the Hurtin' Albertans might have a different opinion after the last show they did here. The crowd was well behaved this time around - likely because it was not cabaret style - no booze sales. I'd go to see Alan Jackson again in a heart beat.
Alan Jackson was pretty amazing
by Kathann on 2009-11-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5I'll have to admit, I am not a huge country fan, but I have always loved Alan Jackson and I was very impressed with his concert.
Alan Jackson was awesome
by LandLinPG on 2009-11-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5Love, love loved it... so nice to see an icon come to the interior of BC to the fans rather than us having to travel to the "city" to see them!! However.... a cowboy needs to wear cowboy boots not sneakers!!! but from the ankles all the way up he was a true cowboy!!
