    Alice crew worked hard

by Frewboy on 2015-01-06National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

The set and props were fantastic, the actors worked credibly but we could only hear a small portion of the lines. Sound projection was horrible. We left early.

The play was amazing. The decor and costumes were beautiful. Well done! They really brought you to this imaginary world of Alice. Loved the characters and their personality. I loved the fact they had bubbles falling from the ceiling, they pull you in the play very well. I would definitely recommend this play even to someone who doesn't go regularly to see theatre plays. It was easy to follow and the actors were fantastic.

First half slow, second half made up for it

by Ghardingpft on 2015-01-02National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

A bit slow starting, but a very good play. Very creative. Very entertaining.

Alice Through the Looking Glass ! Awesome !

by TMOS on 2014-12-23National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Awesome ! Great for all ages. Highly recommend. From the beginning to the end, our 7 year old did not say a word, she was in awe.

Alice Through the Looking Glass is a MUST SEE!!

by RKayB on 2014-12-23National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Alice Through the Looking Glass was a beautiful portrayal of the story. The characters, costumes and sets were incredible. The crowd interaction and engagement was a wonderful addition, especially when we became part of the soundtrack. I highly recommend it to anyone!

    Second act was good

by Fragi on 2014-12-22National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

I was disappointed in this play. I found the first act quite slow and the acting less professional than I expected. The exception was the white knight who was marvellous. The second act was better.

Very disappointing. Midway through the first half as I struggled to overcome the pervasive ennui, I noticed that my theatre companion was fast asleep. Upon reaching the freedom and sanctity of the lobby the first conversation that I overheard was " Hey. at least I wasn't snoring." I found the entire production amateurish and have attended "high school" productions that were infinitely more entertaining. How hilarious is rollerblading across the stage too many times? Not very. We left at the merciful intermission. Rex Rock

    A lot of fun!

by CheshireCat on 2014-12-19National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

The play is very clever and the production was quite effective. Some of the acting was a bit uneven, and there were moments when things seemed to bog down. But, on the whole, it was a really fun evening.

    Alice: all round great.

by polysemous on 2014-12-16National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

A bit of everything for everyone. Interactive and fun; but not over the top. Good for all ages; but not too childish. Fantastic vision by the producer for the use of the whole cast in such a unique way.
