this company never ceases to amaze me! Whenever they come to town, I must get to their show. Revelation, their signature piece, in and of itself is worth the 1500 km trek that I make to get to the show..... but every piece of choreography is breathtaking genius!

Second time watching the amazing Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. They did not disappoint! The show was high energy, interactive and throughly entertaining. The AA dancers were graceful and the performances were mind blowing. Brought a friend, and he too was thoroughly impressed by the choreography, music and the costumes. Will definitely watch them again!

My husband and I loved the Alvin Ailey dance show. We were in awe of the beautiful dancers and their incredible ability to make it all look so easy. We know how much work goes in to any dance number and these dancers really put their hearts and souls into every dance step. A fantastic afternoon at the theatre! I haven't seen Alvin Ailey for over 10 years and they still blow me away. Watching revelations transported me back 20 years to the first time I saw them. Awe-inspiring, raw physicality, artistry blended with sheer athleticism.

It was mind-blowing, intense, beautiful, touching... I felt like they were one with the music and their movements were beautifully charged. I believed the story they told...

We thoroughly enjoyed the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater event. The versatility of dance, the athleticism of the dancers, the costumes and energy just made it a spectacular evening. I can't wait to see them again.

Alvin Ailey blew every single person in the packed Sony Centre away. It made me marvel at how amazing humans can be. I've never felt so emotional at a performance. I was in pieces. Crying, confused, overwhelmed. It was the most amazing performance I've seen in my 37 years and I have seen so many. I can't recommend it enough.

I admire the dancer technique and the dedication that the producer and performer bring to this stunning spectacle. The magical world of dance has no language barrier. Dance is the mother of all languages!

Wonderful dancers! Choreography still needs to be freshed up more, including re-interpreting the more 'classic' reportoires of AA.

The show was amazing, I have wanted to see AA for years and it fully lived up to my expectations. My one note is that we got stuck sitting by someone who put on enough perfume for at least a 3 row radius. Venues need to have policies regarding this behaviour. We had to move, thankfully that was an option, as my mother is extremely sensitive to chemical fragrance. I tto am sensitive, but my mother's blood preasure spiked, when the person showed up late.

Revelations - simply amazing. Must see show. The company performances were the best!

I have seen a lot of dance companies, and Alvin Ailey is clearly one of the BEST. All of the dancers were excellent, and Yannick Lebrun is in a class by himself - truly a joy to watch. The "Revelations" piece had the audience clapping to the music. I will certainly be going to see them again . Their standing ovation was well deserved!

Performance was uninspired; boring choreograpy. This was a very disappointing show, as a dance fan who attends many shows of both local and travelling dance troupes I was expecting something fresh and original. This was neither; repetitive moves, stereotypical themes all resulted in one of the most disappointing performances I have seen in a very long time.

Amazing- talented dancers, choreography and staging. A spiritual experience. I would see it again.

This is the second time I get a chance to see Alvin Ailey. They are simply outstanding, funny, creative, colourful, a bowl of fresh air in today's artistic world. I recommended it to quite a few friends. Everyone loved it.

Show was absolutely amazing. All dancers are high professional and choreography is talented. The show is exceptional fusion of cool music, passionate dance, lights and colors. I was happy being there.

Overall I loved the show. I have seen Alvin Ailey about 5 times in the past 17 years or so and this was definitely one of the best programmes, especially the first part of the show. The only thing my husband and I found very annoying were the long intermissions between the various parts of the programme. In most cases they did not seem necessary, for example when a solo performance was followed by a group performance. Nothing on the stage had to be changed and the solo performer was not part of the next segment so the long break seemed unnecessary. The whole atmosphere suffered - people starting talking etc., it became quite noisy. I was also not crazy about seeing 'Revelations' again - while I really like it I have seen it about four times now and it wears thin after a while....I think it would be better to stick to the newer choreographies, which I found a lot more exciting.

Alvin Ailey Dance Company never disappoints. The physicality and level of dancing is truly amazing. The energy level is second to none. I make a point of seeing them every time they are in town.

They leave you on an incredible high that lasts for weeks after just one of performance! These dancers are technically brilliant with an incredible musicality and passion that captures your heart, no matter where you sit in the theatre! No sets are needed to distract you from the incredible energy and emotion!
