Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Tickets

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance of this very impressive dance company. That they have been performing for over 40 years shows that they have staying power and a dedicated following. Recommended to anyone who loves modern dance.

The areas where there was a pause could have been filled with local dancer/s as the main team did dress changeover.

Alvin Ailey is a staple in the world of dance! Revelations had me dancing in my seat as always. Beautiful and well thought out stage light to compliment the dancers! Only thing I wished for was less intermissions between pieces (2 x ~15min intermissions for a 1.5hr show).

I remember being brought to watch the Alvin Ailey dance company as a child, and it was great to return with my mother as an adult. They performed a great blend of traditional and modern dancing that had me grooving the entire show. I can't wait to see them again next year.

Loved the show. Wish the first piece (Max Roach and Abby Lincoln, with strings), ended on a more positive note (ended at when Nelson was in prison), instead of showing how he went on to be a world leader for peace. Overall great show and I would see them again.

The dancers, choreography, lighting, music and costumes were all wonderful but the late arrival of many audience members after the performance had started was disruptive. The doors should have been shut after the performance started and latecomers only permitted to enter at the first pause or intermission.

The performance was out of this world. it takes me back to my roots with familiar folklore songs, fused with contemporary songs and dance magnificent. I enjoyed myself emensely.
