About

AMERICAN IDOL will heat up arenas across North America, when AMERICAN IDOLS LIVE! returns for another summer jaunt, showcasing performances by this season's top 11.

AMERICAN IDOLS LIVE! 2011 lineup promises to be the most memorable yet given the diverse and daring talent on the roster, and it's hitting markets all across North America with 45 dates confirmed. The top 11 comprising the tour—Casey Abrams, Haley Reinhart, Jacob Lusk, James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Naima Adedapo, Paul McDonald, Pia Toscano, Scotty McCreery, Stefano Langone, and Thia Megia —are primed and pumped to give fans a night of unique and unforgettable performances.

AMERICAN IDOL remains the #1 rated show in America, watched more than any other programming, and it's because of the amazing talent. This year, iconic judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler, and Jennifer Lopez went through a tight race to narrow the contestants down for America to decide who will be the next big star. Their wisdom, candor, and sense of humor continue to propel the show along at a lightning pace.

Watching AMERICAN IDOL at home is always enjoyable, but seeing these artists live is an experience.  Past tours have featured current pop luminaries such as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, David Cook, Adam Lambert, Lee DeWyze and so many more. Every summer, the tour keeps IDOL alive in arenas everywhere allowing the audiences the chance to get up close and personal with their favorite contestants. This top eleven will have crowds on their feet singing along to every word. Get ready...

The AMERICAN IDOL season finale will air on FOX May 26th, but the action will continue live on stage all summer with AMERICAN IDOLS LIVE! Don't miss it when it hits a town near you.

Adam Lambert and the American Idol Show

by KeithUrbanFan on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

I was row 5 for this show, and it was unbeleivable! I felt a bit bad for Kris who is the "American Idol" who had to follow 2 fantastic acts like Allison and Adam, those two could very easily have had their own show. Kris was more of a ballad guy and after Adams performance, Kris put us to sleep. He's good, but I think Adam is your real idol here! The sound was good, the stage show was good, and it was well worth the investment of the ticket price. There were no opening acts but they played video's on the big screen just b4 the show and during the break but only had 4 to choose from, 2 from Carrie Underwood, which I bet I watched 8 or 9 times, and Daughtry, again, played it TOO much, and David Cook again played too much. I appreciate that they are all American Idols, but what about Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia, Ruben, & the others, they had selection, they just didn't do a good job of giving it to the crowd. This part was dissapointing.

    Great show, lacked stage support

by Jason on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

Show was excellent. Best performers were: Danny, Anoop, Adam, and Allison Kris didn't connect with the audience. Show had great video effects, but lacked more choreography and dancers to support the artists. Also, better lighting to follow the songs.

    Idols Rock the House!

by AdamFan on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

I expected the show to be decent but was surprised that all the idols actually sang better in person than on the show! I also enjoyed the group songs more than I thought - definately worth going to. I can't wait for Adam to have his own concert - he killed it and came off like a seasoned professional.

    American Idols - 2009 Tour

by VanFan on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

All the idols were better in person than on T.V. Scott, Matt & Kris are all very accomplished musicians. Can't wait for the Adam Lambert CD & concert.

American Idol: Once in a life time oppertunity!

by BoldLaraCroft on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

When I had previously pictured what this event would be like, I really didn't know what to expect. Was it a huge expensive display show with fire and the works, or a simple stage where the singers just sing. To my surprise, it was kind of a mix of both. They had amazing back lighting, smoke at points, very simplistic but which made it great at the same time. They started the show from top 10-1. I must say that all of the performers were amazing, but everyone was patiently awaiting Adam Lamberts arrival on stage. I liked the fact the performers talked a little to the audience as well. Adam definatly stole the show.

    American Idol Vancouver

by Louie on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

The start was not how it should have started, there should have been a group song to get the crowd involved. The bottom singers were not very good performers and it took away from the mood in the arena. If I would have know how the set up was I may not have attended. Further, they sang songs they did on American Idol, I expected different songs. On the other hand, some of the performers were amazing, they got the crowd involved which helped an average concert.

    Americon Idol Tour 2009

by EnjoyingLife on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

The four of us went to Idol not knowing what to expect. All the performers did a great job. Very down to earth interaction and good singing. Except Adam Lambert. He is just over the top amazing. I expect big things from him no doubt. Danny Gokey is really one sweet guy and spent ALOT of time after the concert talking, signing and doing photos. We also saw Allyson, Meghan, and Adam signing autographs. Not quite taking the same time as Danny, but still full of enthusiasm. Danny's wife passed away one year today and We wish him a special day filled with happy memories for him One thing I would recommend is the Idols do a center stage or make the viewing screens larger. It was a bit far away even though we were close to the floor. Prodcution was great overall.

    Adamazing!

by Annie on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

A great show! It was great to see all the Idols performing live. Whether they are the hottest or just in the Top 10, they all bring something to the show and I enjoyed every one of their performances. While I am a major Adam fan - I was starstruck and his set left me breathless and wanting more, I also enjoyed Danny(I am going to go look for some of his music on line) and Michael surprised me too! Overall, I adored them all and appreciate their braveness in getting up there and "giving it" WTG! After the show, all the Idols were very gracious to come out and sign autographs. The staff at GM Place were all friendly and helpful. This surprised me for some reason. Hated all the crowded line ups though. And many of the mini restaurants were not open, which would have been nice for those of us who only go to these types of events rarely and want to enjoy the "whole" experience. Something that hasn't changed in 30 plus years of going to concerts - line ups for the Women's! lol

    Show was ok

by kdogg on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

The Idols performed in the order they were voted off with number 10 Michael Sarver performing first. Because of this format, the entire first half of the show was a bust. After the intermission, Alison, Danny, Adam and Kris took their turns and the difference was night and day. Alison and Adam stole the show in my opinion - but I'm certain this was because they were my favorites coming in. The show was ok. I didn't love it. I didn't hate it. But considering the money we paid - there are definately better value for $$ choices out there.

    American Idol Live

by Idollive on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

The show at GM Place, July 8th 09, was entertaining but far too loud!!! We had headaches by the end. The music often drowned out the great singing! It was late starting, which was disappointing, and the music videos playing while the audience waiting just repeated and became annoying - once watched is enough!! get more variety!! The entertainers were very talented and polished and performed professionally. Chris Allan's music did not need the band (rock) influence to his already great acoustic interpretations. He's great all on his own, which is why he won!! Adam was, as always, over the top and incredibly talented - a real performer and it still puzzles me why he didn't win! I'm not a huge hard rock fan, but did appreciate his skills. Anoop, Scott and Matt were just great and very enjoyable to listen to/watch.

    Some good some bad

by Jimmijazz on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

Most of the crowd was there to see Lambert. Some left before Kris performed. The only bad performance was by Megan. Didn't sound good. I'd rank the performances best to worst as Adam, Allison, Matt, Kris, Anoop, Danny, Lil, Scott, Michael and Megan. Duet between Adam and Allison was great. Matt and Scott on piano was very good as well. A good show overall than went quick with the different performances.

I was expecting a bigger production then just a background slide show and strobe lights.

    American Idol comes to Canada!

by HMHM on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

Great to see the contestants in person, after following their stories all season. Danny Gokey's words were very touching and I think he is very courageous and inspiring. Adam stole the show with his amazing performance skills. Allison was a superstar too and I hope that she is successful with her career. Scot was a pleasant surprise and has great crowd skills. The rest of them were all fantastic too. The only downfall, was the music itself was so incredibly loud at times, you couldn't hear the singers, which was a shame. It was fun to be the second stop of their tour, so their show was still fresh and not robotic. Thanks for coming to Vancouver!!!

    North-American Idols!

by PrincessTamalinaTy on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

This show was an amazing surprise! I went to see Adam ( like everyone else), and fell in love with a bunch of the other contestants that were better than on TV! Especially Scott and Anoop....they were so much better live, (and without judgement I guess!) Total family entertainment from start to finish.

Very entertaining; extremely talented artists; just amazing how far these artists have evolved in such a short time. They are truly talented professionals and should all be No. 1!

    Better then the show

by Tara on 2009-07-09General Motors Place - Vancouver

American Idol Live was incredible. Adam Lambert was sensational. The music was great and so was the atmosphere. Everyone seemed to have an exceptional time. There was a good mix of concert-goers. If they come back again I'm going again! They all sounded so much better live then on TV. Although Allison is a great singer I had a hard time understanding the words she was singing. Matt and Danny were also amazing! All in all my mom and I a great time.
