  • Good experience but did not expect the gospel choir

by Julia on 2023-11-17Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

It was a lovely concert and I had a great time. However, I did not enjoy the fact that such a large portion of it was devoted to the gospel choir. It felt like an attempt at inclusion, but I feel like that was not the best way to go about it. As a black person myself, I would have preferred to see black people in the orchestra playing the same classical music as everyone else instead of what felt like a segregated performance with a style that did not match Rieu's classical style.

  • Amazing Andre

by Rontimus Prime on 2023-11-06Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing Andre Rieu live was an amazing, once in a lifetime, experience. We have seen Andre many times in the theatre and on tv but nothing can compare to the live experience. The only fly in the ointment was the covid bug we took home with us!!

It is better to go to Church on Sundays for better performance and for free.

  • Amazing as always!

by Rusty on 2023-10-21Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

I had been to Maastricht to see Andre Rieu 8 years ago and was determined to go to another concert before I became too old to travel. As we were travelling to Canada and Andre Rieu would be in Ottawa at the same time as we were going to be there, I booked for my partner and I to go to his concert. My partner enjoyed his first concert and I enjoyed it as much as I had at my first one. However the only part of it we both found a bit disappointing was the gospel choir, who began in an enjoyable tempo but became louder and louder until they were shouting rather than singing. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed the concert, congratulations once again to Andre Rieu and his orchestra, the best in the world!

  • Andre Rieu show.

by I waited something different. Classic. on 2023-10-08Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was Fantastic! I don't have another words. I want only to see him again in Canada ASAP.

  • Nice evening, not the wow factor I expected

by Waltzing Mathilda on 2023-10-06Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Having seen so many promo video's of this concert, I couldn't get the wow factor going. It was more an evening of recognising what I had already seen on social media. No surprises. For me a predictable concert. Of course, the quality was good, but it was a bit of a personal let down for me. Maybe they are giving away too much of the concerts in previews and reviews of their concerts.

I absolutely loved it! Can't wait for the next year concert to come and see him again! Absolutely worth it!

Had excellent seats. Getting 8th the concert went very smoothly. Would definitely go to another concert at this venue based upon our experience most recently.

  • nice but missing cozier setup for the 'grand' music played

by ruby on 2023-10-03Centre Videotron - QuébecRating: 3 out of 5

Watching Rieu was a dream come true. Though, it is just that the set up was not cozy and warm; i understand this is a sports stadium and all, but some effort for decor and to make the overall vibe more cozy (and one to match the delicate classical music being played) would have transformed the experience to one similar to the magical evening Rieu offers his audiences in European capitals.. The space could have been transformed with some more effort to give a more magical feeling - especially knowing the Rieu music is sublime. That physical context and decor efforts would have helped, bigtime, make this something an everlasting, magical memory.
