I took my whole family to this show, it was amazing! My children that are 7 and 8 years old loved it. There was something for everybody... the bull scene was my son's favourite and ofcourse the balloons at the end. The dresses was my daughter's favourite. We all loved it!
I think that my husband and I were the only ones under 65 in GM Place that night, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Rieu has a great sense of humour and showmanship. It's definitely more than a symphony. The sound could definitely have been better. It was much too quiet, especially for that big of an auditorium. We've been to seen him before and it was the same problem with sound leading me to believe it's his soundtechs. Turn it up!
A fantastic show - Andre Rieu is the ultimate showman. He draws the audience into the performance with exemplary musicianship along with lighthearted humor. An absolutely perfect evening - a must see for anyone who loves good music.
Watching Andre Rieu and his orchestra live cannot even be compared to the PBS programs that I faithfully watch. There is an atmosphere in the building, created the moment he enters, that cannot be described in words. This man loves his music and it infects everyone within hearing distance. This is as good as entertainment gets.
10 years ago we went for first A Rieu concert in Vancouver. Now after all this years we could hear and see that He and His orchestra is getting even better and better after years of bringing joy to people around the World.
This was our 2nd Andre show and hope he comes back soon to Vancouver. We'll be there for sure. A show to remember forever!
The music was fantistic and he made the people feel that they were a part of the group Music for all ages
You always get your money's worth at an Andre Rieu concert. There is great interaction with the audience and very very view entertainers have as many oncores as he does.
This concert was undoubtedly one of the best we have ever attended, in any gendre of music. In addition to the magnificent music, there was alot of humor - Andre Rieu definitely brings classical music to the level of the common person, where absolutely everybody can enjoy it. The beautiful gowns and jewelry, the gorgeous backdrop, the fantastic sopranos and tenors, all enhance the music and make for a magical evening.
If you like the orchestral music of Johann Strauss that alone is worth going to an Andre Rieu concert. This group travels the world and puts on such a happy, positive evening that it is impossible not to get caught up in their uplifting and heart warming performances.
