The Angel and Airwaves concert at The Sound Academy was absolutely fantastic. Tom cut out a couple of times but that sounded more like the sound system. They played hard and sounded awesome. We would recommend the concert to anyone.
If you ever have the opportunity to catch a AVA show... you MUST go! Also, if the VIP meet and greet is available, pay the extra money and take part. It was incredible. I traveled over 1,700kms to see them and they made it worth the trip. The VIP meet and greet is something that I will never forget. VIP members were "on stage" during their sound check and was treated to an exclusive autograph and photo session with each band member. All VIP members received an autographed CD of Love, autographed poster, exclusive AVA t-shirt, and early entry into the concert. Having the opportunity to rub sholders, shake hands and converse with each member was a real treat and something that I will not soon forget. Oh, and the show was absolutely amazing... from start to finish!!!
Sound was great. Lights were awesome. Tom played great.
A&A were the first band where I walked into the music store, heard a song playing, asked who it was and bought the album immediately. That was We Don't Need To Whisper. Then Tom & the band released I, Empire ... another amazing group of songs. And finally Love was released free!!! This is the first band I can honestly say I loved every song on each album. While I still have favourites, like Letters To God Part II, I can just let the music play and not want to skip a song. Seeing them live was an awesome experience. Each member of the band was not tied to the instrument they started the concert with. They are very talented and I look forward to more music from A&A and truly am in high expectation of the DVD Tom promised would be released after Love.
Amazing concert and experience. If your a fan at all, you must simply go and see them live. There music translates so well into a live experience. Sound was amazing. Also, bring your spouses - they'll enjoy it to.

If you like this band they were awesome, Sound Academy needs a bigger sound system though!
I purchased the VIP ticketes through the bands Modlife and they were so worth it! We got to go in early have sound check AND meet the band. David Kennedy and Atom Willard were really really nice and Tom Delonge was awesome too :). I would DEFFINITLY recomend this to any AVA fan. The tickets were resonable and the VIP was $99 but sooo worth it. Not only did we get to meet all the band members, but we got pictures and autographs too! We also got a tour shirt (we all were supposed to be able to pick our own but ended up with XL's of the main tour shirt, but thats okay) and their new CD Love, and a poster that we got signed. The VIP got to go into the venue before everyone else and my boyfriend and I got to stand at the very front the whole time. The opening band was Say Anything and were pretty much crap, but AVA was Amazing :D
saw angels and airwaves at the sound academy. that venue is awesome. medium sized club lets you get near the band but enough people to cause a ruckus. sound was great. tom delonge's vocals live.. left something to be desired.
This show was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Everything from the musical performance to the sound and stage effects were incredible. I would recommend their show to anyone.
