Ann Wilson on Tour

Widely regarded as one of the greatest vocalists of all time, Ann Wilson is back to remind the world why she is the queen of the rock and roll stage. A true icon, Wilson is known around the blog as lead singer and songwriter of the groundbreaking rock band, Heart, who have thrilled audiences far and wide for over four decades. Following the release of her 2022 solo album, Fierce Bliss, Wilson is hitting the road to rock hearts across the U.S. with her one-of-a-kind voice and classic songs. Inspired by legendary American rock singer Janis Joplin, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has maintained classic showmanship over the years, going on tours and even venturing to the big screen in a feature film about her life with the 2017 documentary, Ann Wilson: In Focus. With one of the most powerful vocal ranges in music, Wilson has perfectly blended rock, opera, pop, and folk music, resulting in the versatility of her sound. Ann Wilson Live in Concert

Ann Wilson was born in San Diego, California, but due to the nature of her father's military career -- a former Marine who was also a musician and singer who once led the U.S. Marine Corps band -- the Wilson family moved around a lot before settling in Seattle, Washington. Ann Wilson first gained fame in the 1970s as the lead singer for Heart, the rock band formed in 1963 by bassist Steve Fossen and brothers Roger Fisher and Mike Fisher. In 1974, Ann's sister, Nancy Wilson, joined the band on guitar. With her powerful vocals, Ann Wilson scored several hits for Heart, including "Crazy on You" and "Magic Man" -- both of which were co-written by the Wilson sisters -- from the band's debut album, Dreamboat Annie. Heart went on to sell more than 35 million records and earned an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

In 2007, Ann Wilson released her first solo album, Hope and Glory, featuring inventive covers of songs by artists who inspired her own music. The album features guest appearances by artists including Shawn Colvin, Elton John, Wynonna Judd, Alison Krauss, k.d. lang, and Rufus Wainwright. Her sophomore solo album, 2018's Immortal, features unique covers of songs by artists who have passed on, including David Bowie, Leonard Cohen, Chris Cornell, Tom Petty, Amy Winehouse, and more. In 2022, Wilson released her third solo album, Fierce Bliss. Ann Wilson continues to be considered as one of the greatest singers of all time, paving the way for new generations of female rock vocalists.

A Little Boring but Great Music

by Heart Fan on 2023-10-21Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

Was really looking forward to this show.was pretty good, band was amazing Ann still has an amazing voice, obviously more Heart songs would have been better but her new material is good. Crowd sat through the whole show except for the last song which in my opinion made the show a little boring.

    Get back with Nancy

    by J. M. on 2023-10-19

I went to show expecting to hear tons of Heart songs. Ann only did three a ton of covers and a ton of new stuff. I was not impressed with new stuff and let's get real play the hits from Heart. I didn't pay $100 to listen to your new music! A total waste of time and money!

Ann Wilson put on an awesome show and her back up band was amazing, loved the guitars! At her age her voice was still amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Great venue also!

    Ann was phenomenal!!

by Weezy on 2023-10-16Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

The sound crew continually downed out Ann’s amazing voice by over amplifying the guitars. It was soooo annoying! One song in the 2nd set was good but then the sound crew jacked up volume on the 3 guitarists… sooo ridiculous! Customers sitting next to us moved to the very back of the hall in the hopes of actually hearing Ann’s voice… the sound crew nearly ruined the experience for me but my enthusiasm for seeing Ann Wilson sing live was immense… she is truly a vocal treasure!

    Powerful and Enjoyable

by Rick M on 2023-10-16Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

Ann Wilson is a legend! Not only did she perform her most famous hits like Barracuda, Magic Man and Even it Up, she also sprinkled in some Queen, John Lennon and Led Zepplin to show off her range. Her connection with the audience is genuine and conversely the feeling his mutual. Being from the Pacific Northwest she also shared some memories from her early days, which the audience truly enjoyed. Thank you Ann for a magical evening!

    Blown away

by Barb on 2023-10-16Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

Ann was brilliant as always. The musicians are so talented and we were blown away and amazed throughout the entire show. They weaved in the old and new so well. Couldn’t wait to listen to their new album just released. Loved that Ann told some stories of her time living, writing songs and playing in Vancouver.

    Great Concert

by Benders on 2023-10-16Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

Ann had a great mix of her old and new music. She can still belt it out. The band played the old Heart songs just like the originals.

    Dissappointing

    by Bertha on 2023-07-23

No doubt, Ann Wilson still has it - a great voice. No doubt, musicians in the band very very talented. Bar a couple of the old songs, the concert simply didn't come together as a unified whole. Rather felt there were differing genres rubbing up against each other.
