April Wine Tickets

Have to start with a story about what happened when my friend and I were sitting out in the lobby waiting for the door's to open. These two ladies from Newfoundland sat down beside us to wait for the door's to open also. Across from where we were sitting was a big mural on the wall with Myles' picture and a list of all his accomplishments. While we're sitting there this guy walks by and the two ladies sitting beside us said to him "hey, that's you on the wall isn't it". The guy just laughed and kept walking, and I will admit he did look like Myles, so I'm wondering if it wasn't a family member or something. But these two from Newfoundland didn't know that Myles had passed, I felt bad when I had to tell them. And I did see this guy inside at the concert. Anyway the show was excellent, I'm still in awe, Brian came out first and gave a little speech about how this show was dedicated to Myles, and by keeping the band going was their way of keeping Myles' writing and all his songs alive. So all of you non-believer's out there that are saying that this isn't April Wine anymore that they are just a cover band, you couldn't be more wrong. And remember Myles did hand pick Marc to join them and he does a wonderful job, it's like they've been injected with new life or something. They did a couple of songs that I'd never heard live before or hadn't heard in a very long time. I'd say that the crowd has accepted Marc into the band and you could tell that he was very appreciative of that, it must have been hard from him to come out on stage knowning that this was where Myles was from and wondering how he would be accepted and I'd say he was. I for one can't wait till they come back and I can see them again. Vocals were shared between Marc, Brian & Roy and again an excellent show and if you get the chance make sure you go see them. It was girls night out for April Wine in Halifax on May 25th and we had a blast! Great show at The Schooner Showroom, Halifax Casino. They played all of our favorite hits and the standing show was a good excuse to dance all night long!

Memories of previous shows certainly was apparent. Show started a little off key but finished really strong. Final 2 songs Gypsy Queen and Roller were great. Nice job.

April Wine played a fabulous show!! I habe great respect for Brian Greenway especially being able to get on stage and speak about Myles Goodwyn the way he did ... very touching. Myle's 'replacement' Mark Parent was also fabulous, playing to the crowd. My Dad was Myles Goodwyn's biggest fan and Dad was impressed by Mark, which says a lot! Definitely go see them if you have the chance.

April Wine in April at the Burton Cummings Theatre were fantastic! The sound was amazing and they started strong with Oowatanite. The hits just kept coming. We really enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend.

It is wonderful to relive the hits of April Wine and have them played so well. They covered all the great songs we had hoped to hear and the venue worked well with the seating removed. Will see them every time they tour...

We saw them at the Great Canadian Casino May 10th, and unfortunately they had sound issues. The first half mics and mixing were suffering, and then the second hal they fixed the mike but not the mix and it became so loud you couldn't recognize and enjoy most of the songs. The band made a great effort, had energy and were enthusiastic. Not sure why so many solos on drums, bass and guitar were needed given the bands catalogue, but perhaps they just needed to take a few breaks and were working on the sound and equipment.

The concert was very enjoyable, however the sound quality was poor. Firstly, the volume of the bass guitar was so loud that it drowned out the other instruments. Secondly, all the instruments played together made the vocals unrecognizable. We saw Jann Arden last summer and none of these issues arose, so it’s not the fault of the venue.

Great show. Great time out. Reasonably price tickets until the service charges on each ticket. Absolutely Ridiculous can't even afford to go to Neil Young because the service charges are so high.

April Wine was amazing. It was our first time at this venue. We loved everything about the experience.

Great to see this band. They had fantastic energy and played all their hits one after the other. The venue was great. Our seats were fantastic and the energy of the crowd was fabulous. Pickering Casino is a great venue with its bars and we went to the restaurant after where we had drinks and nibbles and ran into the talent. Amazing night.

Excellent Excellent. Standing Ovation. Hope to see them again.

We love the old school bands and the fid not dissapoint

April Wine is still rocking it! Great Auditorium with great acoustics. Well organized with tons free parking. I would recommend any concert that is here as a venue. Excellent experience!

April Wine did not disappoint. It was so good to rock out to the good old rock ‘n’ roll style of music that is missing these days! Everyone around me said the same thing! Nice to see Pickering casino is doing better with time on their bar service at the venue. Well done.

They played one long set (about an hour and a half) followed by a 2 song encore. Great songs.
