ARMIN VAN BUUREN IN CONCERT:

EDM fans have spoken, and veteran Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren is their king. As one of the most popular trance DJs in the world, Van Buuren has topped DJ Magazine's fan poll a record five times, virtually dominating dance music with his unprecedented run at the top of the list from 2007-2010. Following the 2013 release of his fifth album Intense, Van Buuren is once again entrancing fans around the world with his prismatic live shows on the 2014 Armen Only: Intense tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Leiden, Netherlands, Armin Van Buuren began DJing while at university, eventually putting his law degree on hold to pursue music full time. He made his first UK chart appearance at just 19 with "Blue Fear," climbing the charts again several years later with "Communication." By 2001, Van Buuren's marathon sets had earned him a spot on DJ Magazine's Top-100 list, setting the stage for the launch of his hugely popular State of Trance radio show. While his skills as a producer were highlighted on his 2003 full-length debut 76, it was 2008's Imagine that really broke the mold — the album peaked at No. 1 in the Netherlands, a first for a dance music artist in Dutch music history.

    Not bad, good light show. Not a huge armin fan, seemed like there was less people than usual at VCC

    This is a beautiful venue and very spacious. John Dahlback was good and Armin always throws a great show. What I was most peeved about was that the VIP section was so far off to the side. It's not worth buying VIP ever again, stick with GA at this venue.

    For a DJ, this show just didn't come together. Good music and good dance beat SOME of the time. The best part of the show was the live talent that sang. But, for $120 I could have gone out for a nice dinner, movie and danced to better music at Numbers.

    It was really awesome, good rave. Too bad it ended at 1:30 am, that is just too short, apart from that I would go again in a heart beat, other DJs than Armin were good too

    Great show, Armin played for 3 hours. Amazing artists and event was run very smoothly. Hardly any line ups for coat check or alcohol. A++

    Armin Van Buuren was amazing! The venue was big enough for everyone to have a good time, plenty of washrooms (when they opened up the corral). We had VIP passes so we were able to give our feet a break and sit down when we needed it and never had to wait for drinks at the VIP bar. Armin himself was awesome and really interacted with the crowd and looked like he was having as much fun as we were. When he eventually comes back to Calgary, I will be first in line for tickets again.

    Armin puts on one of the best shows around. He plays the top tracks and is always really high energy. I recommend any dance music fan to check him out

    It was awesome!!!! Lots of space in BMO centre, fairly cheap drinks, nice sound!!!!

    Armin played a high-energy set and kept the crowd enthralled the entire night. He played a lot of the "big hits" of the moment. Cosmic Gate was quite amazing and did not disappoint! They played a lot of interesting new tracks with some unique twists. Very very good set and quite entertaining! The acoustics of the BMO Centre unfortunately aren't that great but it's the best place for a large-scale event like this. The sound-system was massive and the bass was just about loud enough to blow my hair back!

    Words cannot discribe this event. From The momment he opened, to his Encore Armin lived up to his title as #1 DJ in the world!!!! He had a massive screen setup playing various visuals effects and music videos from his songs and Massive speakers paired with distructive bass that would blow a car apart! This was my first time seeing him as I was unable to the last few years past, and from now on i will do whatever I can to catch his sets!!!
