My wife, daughter and I enjoyed the show. The song selection was great, the performance was amazing and the interaction with the audience was funny and great. Overall, definitely recommend them, as I definitely plan to see them again
Let me say first that I enjoyed the show, although it was a little on the short side (90 minutes start to finish with no opener.) They were charming, funnier than I expected and extremely talented musicians. They are certainly the most talented cellists I've ever seen. But in the long run they were playing cover tunes on two cellos. That probably sounds mean or insulting, it's not meant to, but it is what it is. Their main schtick is that they engage with the crowd and move around more than anyone else who plays the cello and of course they play lots of hard rock tunes that aren't typically played on the cello. The first half of the show was dedicated to show tunes from various movie scores. For this part of the performance they were accompanied by a supporting string section of violins, violas, double bass and a keyboardist. From what I could tell they may have been local performers from the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, but I'm not sure. They didn't really recognize them individually in any way. The only other person to get any individual shine was the drummer. The second half of the show was performances of classic and hard rock tunes and this was probably what most people were there to see and where they have gained most of their popularity. This was also by far the best part of the show. They performed several AC/DC songs, Iron Maiden's Trooper, Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones and a few others. Overall the two cellists Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser were entertaining to watch, but I wouldn't shell out the money to see them again. Too many other bands that offer better bang for your buck, that I'd rather spend my money on.
Absolutely amazing! Can't wait til they come back.
The show was fantastic! i liked how they had a string ensemble with them for some of the songs. However, it was pretty short, I understand they don't have any opening bands like regular concerts, but it was barely 1.5 hrs. Also, they played A LOT of AC/DC, which was fine, but it would have been nice to hear more of a variety.
The concert had a great sound, excellent visual screen, an amazing orchestra and of course 2 greatly talented men playing the cellos
Such talent and fantastic entertainers! At times it was hilarious, and at other times it was serious and moving.
Up close and personal - absolutely awesome. Everyone should see these guys
I was disappointed in my seats. I specifically called to choose seats on the aisle and was assured by ticketmaster they were. And they were not!! Call personnel should be better trained to assist with requirements of customers
Amazing show! Played a variety of genres of music
We really enjoyed the concert. They are exceptional cellists and very entertaining. They had a large screen behind them, but unfortunately, where we were seated, we could not see about an eighth of the right hand side of the screen. I loved that before they came on stage, on the large screen, they showed them playing at the base of one of the numerous magnificent waterfalls at Plitvice National Park in Croatia - one of my favourite places in the world.
Guys were great! Performance was awesome. Would definitely go again.
Beautiful and well executed. Had everyone on their feet singing, dancing, clapping, etc. Highest recommendations for any age! I hope they return to Hamilton!
The 2 cellos were great performers. They were funny and so very talented. I wish the show would have been longer, it was less than 1.5 hours. The venue was amazing and beautiful. Will definitely go see them again.
I only rated them a 3 as the show was only 1 hr and 15 minutes. For 65$ we should have had at least 2 hours of music. They also lost points for me as they played a lot of AC/DC ( 1 is enough) and metal/rock and not enough classic/pop. Too many lasers too. I think they tried to be trans Siberian orchestra but in a smaller venue, those laser lights hurt the eyes.
These two cellists are so talented and entertaining throughout the entire (close to 2-hour) show! I've never seen a cello played quite like that! :) For the first part of the show, they played more subdued songs, accompanied by a string orchestra - so beautiful! And the musicians looked like they were having so much fun, likely playing a different kind of music than they normally do! The 2Cellos are also joined by an awesome drummer, mainly in the second part of the show, and they go all out with high energy, well-known songs - so impressive and entertaining! Sadly, time just flew by!!
A dream that you don’t want to wake up from. A night that will not be forgotten
I'm a huge fan however I was frankly shocked when during the second half of the show I felt that there was a soundtrack playing (a technical issue gave it away); if you're going to stop playing the cello don't forget to turn the soundtrack off. However the ambience and energy was outstanding. I wouldn't attend another one, such was the depth of my disappointment. I'm still a fan, but a disappointed one. Nonetheless I still enjoyed the evening. These guys are so talented and I had a great time.
Best show ever, highly recommended for anyone who is a fan of classical and modern music
Very enjoyable.Great energy .interactive with audience
