BACHMAN & TURNER IN CONCERT:

Canadian classic rock heroes Bachman & Turner are back on the road in 2014, treating fans to marathon sets of nostalgic hits like "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and "Let It Ride." The duo rose to international superstardom in the '70s as Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and although they've dropped the "overdrive" from their name in the new millennium, they haven't lost any of their hard-charging spark. Amid rumors that they'll be performing their seminal 1974 album Not Fragile end-to-end on their 2014 tour dates, gearheads from coast to coast are lining up for a chance to catch these legends in concert.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

After rising to prominence with The Guess Who in the '60s, guitarist Randy Bachman formed Bachman-Turner Overdrive with singer Fred Turner in the early '70s. While their eponymous 1973 debut album was a moderate success, it was sophomore album Bachman-Turner Overdrive II that really put them on the map, generating huge sales in the US and Canada thanks to hit singles "Taking Care of Business" and "Let It Ride." Third album Not Fragile was an even bigger success, topping the Billboard 200 and producing classic rock standard "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet." Reunited in 2010 as Bachman & Turner, the duo continue to record and tour, with a handful of highly anticipated appearances scheduled for 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"...Bachman and Turner rocked out...these two guys are still fantastic after all these years. Turners voice is so authentic and Randy's guitar playing is unbelievable.”

"These guys have gotten better with age. The show was outstanding! Music played just like you remember and the crowd was on their feet!"

"...one heck of a great concert. Randy played that guitar ..... Just WOW. His vocals were perfect. Turner played great... They looked like they were having fun and the crowd responded with standing ovations."

    Rock N Roll - I don't wanna go home!

by AKindOfMagic86 on 2011-09-24Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Paul Rodgers was amazing, such a proffessional group of musicians played a great set at the Amphitheatre. Looking forward to seeing them again next March. Thanks PR and CO Bachman & Turner - had the whole place rocking, a great feat considering the average age of the crowd.

Good show - way too short

by Anonymous on 2011-09-15Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Came to this show to see Bachman and Turner. They were great. While they were on. Which was for only a little over an hour. Not often that the opening act is longer then the main act. So the music was 4/5, but the length of the show was 2/5.

    Paul Rodgers was great.

by harleygal on 2011-09-13Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

I got the impression from the ad for this concert that it was going to be Paul Rodgers singing with Bachman & Turner. I didn't realize that there would be Paul Rodgers & his band as the first act, & then Bachman & Turner as the second act. I was pleased that Paul R. & company played for an hour & a half. I left after that. I was there to see Paul Rodgers. What I don't understand is why Paul Rodgers & his band was the opening act. As far as I am concerned, he/they should have been the Headliners.

    Paul Rodgers better than ever

by SpikeyD on 2011-09-13Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

I seen Bachman and Turner last summer at Rama and I thought they were much better than they were at the Molson Ampitheatre. Fred Turners voice was much stronger at Rama, The sound was not loud enough and somewhat muffled. In comparison, Paul Rodger's sound was loud, and clean.Paul Rodgers song selection was awesome, playing mostly Bad Company, but closing with "All Right Now" Although I enjoyed both acts, I'd have to say Paul Rodgers was the better of the two acts.

    WOW!!!!!!

by earth1964 on 2011-09-12Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

randy bachman, fred turner, paul rodgers......how can you not get an absolutely amazing rock concert with those three names?!!! bachman seriously makes his guitar sing, turner pounds out killer bass riffs and rodgers, well, in my opinion, he's got the best voice in rock, next to the late freddie mercury. rodgers sang out his bad company, free & new tunes for an hour & quarter. B&T brought on the guitar rock for a good hour and a half. the only thing missing was the three of them on stage together. i'd see any of them again in a heartbeat. really amazing summer line up at the amphitheatre this year.....

    Paul Rodgers was the show!

by TheHunter on 2011-09-12Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Paul Rodgers..........class act.....superb show. The other two old guys that played after, equipped to play a small club and with low class material should (could) have been barely a warm up band for Paul....... left after a few songs. Who decides on this "two bill bands" to pay high price tix for one act and not care less for the other?

    Paul Rodgers

by SonjaV on 2011-09-12Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

I don't usually write reviews - I'm not a great writer - however, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to rave about this amazing show. I have been a Paul Rodgers fan for years, regardless of whichever band he was with, I just think he has the most amazing voice. I took my 18 year old son to this show, he wasn't that familiar with Paul Rodgers music but was blown away. In an age where being a 'star' doesn't necessarily mean you are talented, my son was able to appreciate what a truly talented singer, musician and all around entertainer Paul Rodgers is. Starting with Paul's opening song the audience was taken on a musical ride that didn't stop until his last song. I'm not going to review B&T, not that they aren't talented, however, Paul Rodgers was a tough act to follow. Kudos to you Paul, you're still rocking and better than ever!

    Best weekend of my life!

by HeyLegg on 2011-09-12Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Opening act, the legendary and full steam ahead Paul Rodgers, 62 , who just never ages(must be some kid of deal with the devil) performed some of the biggest hits in the history of rock covering pretty much his entire career, Free, Bad Co,, solo. My 18 year old daughter came to the show and left a Paul Rodgers fan, T-shirt and all. Yes this is a completly biased review, but Bachman and Turner, both 68, sure brewed up some magic, including Turner's rendition of American Woman. Both Randy & Fred sang and played like there's no tomorrow, but I sure hope there is, but if this becomes the last time I see my all-time favourite pair, Fred is my most fave vocalist, then they sure are going out with smiles on their's and their fan's faces. 5 * all the way! Worth the expense of driving to T.O. a zillion times.

    Paul Rogers stole the show!

by Rockets on 2011-09-12Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Paul Rogers still has one of the greatest voices in rock! He sang his heart out for an hour and a half and never let up. Even the one song from his new album was great! He gets full marks! Bachman & Turner had some sound issues at the start but improved along the way. Fred Turner's voice is still pretty good and Randy Bachman's guitar playing is brilliant.

    Paul Rogers Shines

by condog on 2011-09-12Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

BT were great, Turner was in great voice and Bachman excellent on the guitar HOWEVER Paul Rogers and his band were superb, the crowd loved them! The Free songs were a wonderful reminder of how good that band was, and Paul still is. He played for about 1.5 hrs. The whole evening was great! I hope he plays Toronto on every tour.

Bachman Turner were amazing, my wife and i will never forget this concert, a true Canadian and a pleasure to watch. I think they captured the audience as well as played the best songs they could for the time they were on stage. My fav was Not Fragile man did they nail it Heavy and Hard Rock on guys!! And of course Paul Rogers and his band played great old tunes from Bad Company and Free, they were amazing.

    Paul Rogers carried the show

by ddhomeimp on 2011-09-12Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

In an event where two acts should be equally talented its a shame that B.T. was such a dissapointment. Paul Rogers however can still carry off his own show at anytime. The crowd was into all of the classic Bad Co. with the exception of a few lesser known tunes. As well he entertained and interacted with the crowd. Something that was fairly lacking for the most part with B.T. Although Randy Bachman is an amazing rocker still it was obvious that he is the mainstay of the duo. I just hope Turner thanks Mr Bachman every chance he gets for getting away from thetrailer park to let him show off his weak-ass vocals. Call him Canadas answer to Art Garfunkel

    Bad Company and BTO

by HB61 on 2011-09-12Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Both bands were playing in excellent form. Most impressive were the voices of Paul Rodgers and Fred Turner. This was a real blast from the past with excellent sound and musicianship. Randy Bachman plays one mean guitar !!!
