Bad Gyal On Tour

Known for combining reggaeton, dancehall and trap as well as her liberal use of auto-tune, Spanish singer Bad Gyal is making waves around the world. The largely self-made artist captured attention with a Catalan and Spanish cover of Rihanna's hit song "Work," titled "Pai," which went viral in 2016. Several self-produced demos followed, putting Bad Gyal on the radar of an international audience and gaining critical acclaim.

Three studio albums later, the Barcelona model/actress/singer has earned a reputation for being an enigmatic dancehall diva, prolific collaborator and multi-hyphenate creator. After making waves as an independent artist, she signed to Interscope Records in 2019 and released the tune "Santa Maria" featuring Busy Signal soon after. The song charted in Spain and went platinum, foretelling many more hit singles to come. Don't miss the chance to put on your glittery stilettos and catch Bad Gyal's twerk-tastic live shows in a city near you.

Bad Gyal Live in Concert

Born and raised in a seaside town on the outskirts of Barcelona, Bad Gyal -- born Alba Farelo -- was the eldest of five children. When she was just 8 years old, she was introduced to the sounds of Jamaican rapper Sean Paul, which sparked her interest in dancehall, reggaeton and eventually electronica. When later studying fashion at the University of Barcelona and working at a call center, she released "Pai," a Catalan reworking of Rihanna's "Work," which went viral.

Soon after, Bad Gyal decided to quit college and the call center to pursue a career in music. Combining her love of music and fashion, she began self-producing her own eye-catching music videos in her early 20s, which catapulted her career. Now she fuses the genres she loved as a kid on hit songs like "Fiebre" and "Zorra," which have been streamed approximately 100 million times combined on YouTube.

In 2018, she released the mixtape, Worldwide Angel, produced by Jam City and El Guincho, among others. It spawned several hit singles including "Blink" and "Candela" and helped her secure spots in renowned festivals including SXSW and Lollapalooza, attracting international attention and earning her a massive fanbase. In 2021, she issued the EP Warm Up, which included the songs "Aprendiendo el Sexo" and "Blin Blin" featuring rapper Juanka -- another massive hit.
