BC Lions History
The BC Lions are the fifth oldest active franchise in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Founded in 1954, the Lions have made 10 appearances in the Grey Cup championship game and have won the cup six times: in 1964, 1985, 1994, 2000, 2006 and 2011. The BC Lions have claimed the Grey Cup twice on their home turf, including their notable 1994 victory over the former Baltimore Football Club, which prevented a U.S.-based team from hoisting Canadian football’s top prize. The Lions logged the CFL’s second-longest streak of playoff appearances, running for 20 consecutive seasons between 1997 and 2016. Throughout the BC Lions’ history, roster members have claimed 14 Most Outstanding Rookie Awards, 11 Most Outstanding Canadian Awards and Most Outstanding Defensive Player Awards apiece, seven Most Outstanding Player Awards, and five Annis Stukus Trophies for the CFL’s Coach of the Year.

BC Lions at BC Place
The BC Lions are the longest-tenured team to continuously compete at BC Place, starting with its opening in 1983. The stadium has grown in stature across the league, hosting nine Grey Cup championship games, including a Lions victory in 2011. During home games, fans can expect to hear the BC Lions fight song “Roar, You Lions, Roar” and get hyped up with team mascot Leo the Lion. The 54,500-seat multipurpose stadium has also hosted Major League Soccer’s Vancouver Whitecaps FC as well as games during the 2010 Winter Olympics and the annual Canada Sevens rugby competition. BC Place is located on the north side of False Creek in downtown Vancouver.

A fun and exciting family day watching football with over 30,000 fans!
Fantastic and entertaining game. Concession lines and prices are horrible.
Game was good and bands were good. Security in the top bowl harassing people to move from empty seats with no one around them to a row one or two rows closer was annoying.
They have come a long way this year They have charged the building with fun and Excitement
Ppl in front of us kept getting up the entire game. Fkn awful
Awesome halftime show, great game, good seats, ok food. Terrible service at the food counter.
Best crowd in decades. Love the half time show. Plus the singing of o canada
It was great to see a game live again. I picked great seats..... BUT those cowbells were so obnoxious!! The lady beside me had 2 in each hand!!! So you can imagine how grinding that was to listen to the whole game..
Experience was good except for when I ordered food and drinks I never received my drinks. I spoke to 2 employees about it and still nothing. I ended up going to talk with someone at the beverage bar only to find out that ordering food and beverages are different. I ordered both off the same order so I was a little confused when he said that food is different from beverage. The beverage guy ended up getting my drinks and in the end was all good
We were in the lower rows, those collapsible seats were not very comfortable, much too small for many people… but our main complaint was the noise, much too loud, continuously…
My dad is a long time football fan but hasn’t made time to see a game live for many years. As he is nearing retirement we wanted to gift him something special. My children 11 and 10 joined my parents for this game having never been to a live football game. We were unsure how they would do at this event but wanted them to spend time with their grandparents. They were all blown away by the atmosphere, the venue and the theme night, it made the game even more enjoyable. It was the highlight of their weekend, and a very memorable family experience. My son made it on to the jumbo screen and has been feeling like a rock star since! Both the children loved the game and may be future super fans. Thanks for making it such a great weekend that my family will never forget.
A really fun experience, the BC Lions really know how to put on a show! Would recommend to anyone interested in football in Vancouver
From pregame to post game the experience was very well staged Excellent CFL excitement in between True entertainment value I really hope that there’s a playoff home game to come
It was a great close game Disappointed in the light show that was advertised to be done @ half time, it looked like just lazers being beamed across the field. Very low budget looking Also, signage outside the entrance doors One Gigantic inflated cat head that said entrance, turned out it was the entrance to the beer garden only, when we did find the right place, apparently there were 3 lines, 2 for regular tickets, one for VIP, Club tickets. Several people left the regular line after finding this out by asking the staff, no indication that there were different lineups for tickets More signage is needed Other than that was a great time, staff were pleasant, stadium clean
Great FUN! It's been a long time since we've been to a football game. From the tailgate party, to the great seats and then being on the big screen to correctly answer the trivia questions to win an AWESOME prize. BONUS...my friends and family seeing me on the big screen from TSN telecast when LIONS score! Won't wait so long to go to another game!
Wonderful seats. Clear view of the action. Venue is great.
We were looking for an affordable fun family day- we were not disappointed! Brought my almost 6 year old to her first CFL game. She Loved cheering on the Lions and we Danced the entire time. Go Lions 🦁
Great seating and had fun with the kids at the Den. Family had fun plus BC Lions won. Thank you. 🙏🏼
