BIG WRECK IN CONCERT:

Beloved hard rockers Big Wreck have been bringing the ruckus since 1994, with no signs of slowing down. The band possesses a dynamic sound that can shift from hard rock to anthemic post-grunge all while still staying true to their unique style. At their live shows the band tears through popular tunes like "The Oaf (My Luck Is Wasted)" and the No. 1 smash hit "Albatross" alongside material from 2014's Ghosts with reckless abandon. With 20 years of touring experience under their belt, Big Wreck knows how to get ticket buyers headbanging at their rocking live sets.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Boston-based rock outfit Big Wreck formed in 1994 after the members met at the Berklee College of Music. They started to jam together and perform local shows near campus, eventually attracting attention from execs at Atlantic Records. They signed with the label and released their 1997 debut In Loving Memory Of..., which featured three Top 10 hits on the Canadian Alternative chart and a Top 10 on the US Mainstream Rock chart. Their widespread popularity throughout the Great White North -- where lead singer Ian Thornley grew up -- spawned several headlining tours in support of their breakout album. They followed up with 2001's The Pleasure and the Greed -- a popular album that featured three radio-friendly hits and continued to earn the band major acclaim. Since then they've released two more Top 10 albums including 2014's Ghosts and have proven themselves as mainstays within the rock genre. Fans can experience Big Wreck’s hit-filled catalog on full display whenever they take the stage on their high-octane tours.

Big Wreck surely was just that

by Johnboy on 2023-12-25History - Toronto

Very disappointed, first concert I have ever been to in which I was wanting to leave half way through, Texas Kings were amazing which really saved the whole evening for us, security at the event was also lacking as there were many disturbances on the floor with no real presence

    Bright lights

by Jennifer on 2023-12-22Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

Excellent line up, fantastic music from all three artists!! Much appreciated. The only drawback was Big Wreck’s lighting set up. Super bright and I was sitting in row 26 centre. I felt like I was being blinded. Just closed my eyes and rocked out.

by Hunky Bill on 2023-12-20Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

We arrived for Texas King and Big Wreck. Both bands were awesome. Wished Big Wreck play a couple other songs but goes to show how many good ones they have. Loved it.

    Waaaaaayyyyy too loud

by All by Design on 2023-12-03Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

We didn’t end up enjoying the show at all despite loving Bug Wreck and Ian Thornley. The volume was so loud that most songs sounded distorted and we could barely hear Ian sing. The concert wasn’t worth the hearing loss.

    Better than ever!

    by Shrew on 2023-12-02

Big Wreck show at the Commodore in vancouver was amazing. I’ve seen them a bunch of times and they just keep getting better. Special acoustic set before the show by the singer from the Watchmen was incredible, I would love to see a full show!

    Big Wreck is Brilliant

by MicahZ on 2023-11-21Théâtre Beanfield - Montreal

I'm a HUGE fan of the most underrated band on Earth. World class musicians and Ian has a world class voice...BUT....their sound engineer should be fired. I saw them at the Corona Theatre (MTL) and could barely hear Ian all night. So disappointing! Big Wreck deserves much better sound!!

    Nice but could be better

    by 974 on 2023-11-21Théâtre Beanfield - Montreal

Seen the band was awesome. Here I lived before was too far to be able to do that. My only negative points were : _ when sited, when you are tall… there’s not a lot of space. _ the sound in the theatre : the drums was the main source… it’s a pity to go to a rock concert, to see this awesome band and not really eat the voice dans the guitars. Just a little bit more volume on it would have been great !

    Big Wreck

by Big Fan on 2023-11-21Théâtre Beanfield - Montreal

Montreal show - love this band. One of the best vocalists and guitar players around. I have seen them 3 times. Please please turn the drums down a tad and turn up Ian’s mic.

by Tayler on 2023-11-13London Music Hall - LONDON

I think this was probably my fifth time seeing Big Wreck and they put on a great show as they always do! Ian is so talented! The opening act, Texas King, did a fantastic job as well! Super fun!

    What a show!

by Jeff on 2023-11-13FirstOntario Concert Hall - Hamilton

Daniel Greaves (Of the Watchmen) kicked it off with a low-key, almost 'Acoustic' set, proving why he and his band The Watchmen are still going strong after all these years. Then, Texas King just killed it with their high-energy performance. Then, Big Wreck. The band I went to see. They did not disappoint, not one bit. A couple of new songs, a TON of hits, these guys are just amazing. The value of this ticket is second to none. It's a great time and reasonably priced.
