BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Cosby was a class clown as a young student, but he was also a high achiever, acting as captain of the baseball team and class president. After a demanding work schedule led him to drop out of school, he joined the Navy, continuing to hone his comedic talent while shooting the breeze with fellow servicemen. Soon after his time in the service, Cosby began performing at clubs around the country, ultimately landing a pivotal spot on NBC's Tonight Show. That appearance gained him the exposure he needed to break into acting, paving the way for his Emmy-nominated role on the show I Spy and his popular Saturday morning cartoon Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. His biggest success, however, was the era-defining Cosby Show, which dominated airwaves in the '80s as the most popular TV show in the country for five straight seasons. In addition to numerous acclaimed acting roles, Cosby has continued to perform and record stand-up over the years, racking up a whopping nine Grammys for his comedy albums and cementing his place among the giants of American comedy.

I was amazed and impressed that this man at his age can still make me laugh so hard.He has a wonderful gift of being able to capture the humor of everyday life .... in families, relationships, work, in ways that everyone can relate to. And he does so without being vulgar, nasty or cruel. Wish more comedians could be like Cosby!!!

For me the best comedy is when you can take times from your own family and life and see the funny moments that bring laughter and joy to you and others.. Bill Cosby, you have not lost your touch, I am so glad we were able to get tickets to your show, and I would deffintely recommend it to everyone. God Bless you for being able to do comedy and not feel the need to make it vulgar as too many comics do today, the majority of people "do not" find vulgarity and insults at the expense of others, funny in the least... so THANK "YOU" Bill, for bringing good old fashion "clean" comedy and laughter to us..

At 75 you'd think he would have slowed down . . . i guess it's sorta slower that he's sitting in a chair while he does his schtick. but that only made it feel like we were sitting in a living room together just relaxing and telling stories. his interactions with the audience were quite entertaining. his stories were absolutely marvelous. Having attended a couple of shows in the past couple of years with folks like Carol Burnet and Tim Conway, I expected a bit of a retrospective type show. But it was all original stuff. YAY Bill!

My facial cheeks were sore from laughing and smiling so much. I was very sorry to learn that his vision has deteriorated, but he built that situation into his stories. What a wonderful man!!! As I did when I was young, I could sit and listen to him tell his life tales all night! Thanks, Bill. Hope you can make it back real soon.
