If you watch Realtime with Bill Maher, don't go. The jokes are recycled and the topics are the same, the only exception being that he has guests to liven the conversation on the show. Realtime is my Friday night fav, and one of the few TV shows I watch, but I wouldn't see him live again unless he gets some new material.
Very enjoyable evening of satirical humour with one of the best in the business. Very topical , very funny.
Very regimented. He read from his teleprompter 90% of the time (we could see it clearly from our seats). I don't think he really wanted to be here. Just watch his show and save yourself the money. His show is terrific. I respect this guy for his passion and his ideas, but not his standup.
Great, he was hilarious the whole time he was on which was probably an hour and a half.
The show was great, he's able to flawlessly transition from one topic to another. The show was only 1 hour and 15 mins, which was disappointing (no headliner).
Bill Maher was entertaining and extremely funny. I enjoyed the show.
I loved Bill Maher. He is intelligent and very funny. His wit is right on with the topics that interest all of us every day. I especially enjoyed his take on God sending his son, no wait himself down to earth, very funny. Bill is my favourite satirist, about politics, religion and women's rights, his show is all round good entertainment.
Bill was good, a lot of the material I had heard before on TV, but still very funny. The venue was horrible and the microphone barely worked.
Anyone who is interested in listening to a well educated individual slamming his own and all that is invalid with this world...then this is the right place. I plan to see this show again and recommend it to anyone I know.
Great show!! Bill Maher poked fun at the crap Americans are subjected to. Come to think of it Canada, and the rest of the world, is subjected to much of the same crap that the U.S.is accustomed to. People in power couldn't care less. He was spot on about politicians and religions. We need people like Maher to continue to challenge these meatheads!!!!!
the actual content of what was presented was very good, but the show was less than 1.5 hours long... Not worth the money for less than 1.5 hours of stand up; otherwise, it was a good show. Come on Bill, ever considered a second act? Seinfeld did when he as here a few months ago...
A bit of older material mixed in the new but it recycles well. I don't subscribe to HBO so I don't see Real Time so it's great to get a chance to see Bill when he comes to Toronto. Bill seems to genuinely enjoy coming to Toronto / Canada. Great show!
If you watch his show you've heard 90 per cent of the jokes but nice to see him in Canada with just a little local flavour added in. Enjoyable show, worth the ticket price
Great show! 1.5 hours of non-stop laughing. Bill commands the audience very well.
Bill was just as engaging, funny and intellectual as he is on RealTime. Content was current and relevant. Even took on some subjects that have created recent controversy. I do wish he could have stayed an additional 30 minutes. Maybe if he had a Q &A with the audience?
Brother Maher treated the congregation to a good ole-fashioned Christian revival sermon, complete with fire and brimstone for Republicans, fundamentalists, and ammo-sexuals. True to his word, Brother Maher kept us transfixed to our seats with the typical topics - politics, religion, sex, weed, religion, some more sex, politics, and religion. Amen to that
Was very good all the way through. Did not disappoint! Everything politically incorrect...just the way we like him. Will catch him again for sure!
It was not only enjoyable but it was informative and it helps when you share similar views on politics and religion
Bill was funny, but definitely not worth the ticket price for a one hour show. Just tune in to his show in HBO and you'll hear his opinions and wit for free.
Bill Maher was funny and eye opening as always and as always vicious to any heckler in the audience. He was on stage 20 minutes late, ( no big deal ) but only performed for 1 hour and 20 minutes. There was nothing different in his monologue that I could not have enjoyed sitting in my own house and on my couch watching every Friday night on HBO Canada, but instead I spent a few thousand dollars going to Las Vegas to see nothing different. I still feel that Bill is a very much needed person that opens a lot of eye's to all the shanagan's in the crazy world of American politics
