    Entertaining & Informative

by mediabrain on 2023-06-24Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

As expected Bill Nye provided an entertaining look at the importance of critical thinking, especially in today's world where facts don't seem to matter to many people. How approaching life with relentless curiosity and a desire for a better future combined with a willingness to take actions necessary to make change happen are essential to solving problems. The cover of his book Everything All At Once sums it up as Nudge, Adapt, Revise and Improve or as Bill said How to Think Like a Science Guy, Solve Any Problem and Make A Better World.

Bill Nye the Still Got It Guy!

by Stewie on 2023-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The show was absolutely fantastic! Full of energy and science facts all the way to the people that asked questions at the end, so much left to think about on the drive home

    Bill Nye in Calgary

by Agpp on 2023-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Overall good and as expected; main target: child to young adult starting at the university; clear message about other energy sources, although too optimistic about sun and wind; encouraging for young generations; not too much for adults, albeit mr nye has good focus on more deep matters; most remarkable moment, mr nye mentioned need of critical thinking when he was asked about aliens

I have never laughed so hard over impeding global disaster.

by Larry on 2023-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Bill Nye is an engaging and passionate speaker. He is well informed and a skilled presenter. My one regret is not splurging on the VIP meet n greet upgrade. Next time…

by Sue on 2023-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

This is the second time my son and I have gone to see Bill Nye at the Jubilee Auditorium and it was an awesome night! The Jubilee is the perfect venue and as always Mr. Nye is entertaining and informative at the same time. Excellent show!

Great speaker, not so kid friendly.

by Chris on 2023-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I originally bought the tickets for me and my 10yr old for a date night. It was very interesting however, I wish the tickets and information had an appropriate age bracket. High school aged kids and up would have enjoyed it more, I was kind of thinking the old school Bill Nye was going to put on the show, my kids all love his videos and I use them daily as a teacher.

    Stellar

by C.C.P.P. on 2023-06-23Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Arrived early enough to get some concession(not fresh popcorn) and find my seating. Seating could have been a bit more roomy as my husband is over 6’2” in height and had to fold his legs/knees in a way which was uncomfortable. Bill Nye was amazing, he changed the world by talking to us, the world, his audience. It went longer than expected (1hr to 2hrs) which was fantastic. Overall the seating and concession could’ve been better but I don’t think it could’ve been helped unless there was some indicator that there were ‘roomier’ seats for purchase or fresh popcorn available.

    Excellent, uplifting talk

by Gabriela O. on 2023-06-23Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Bill Nye is a great speaker, his presentation was so interesting and had great visuals, my husband and I loved it. It was geared towards an adult audience (I brought my kids - the 9 year old could follow a bit with the visuals, the 6-year old was bored) and after the 1-hour presentation, offered open mic Q&A (which is always a crapshoot, but it does give the opportunity for an early exit if you so choose).

    Novelty experience, not

by KarenK on 2023-06-23Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

I was a bit disappointed in that I found concepts were not well explored and the speaker jumped from concept to concept in a haphazard way. I'm not sure if the intention was to present something that seem like it was 'off the cuff' or a 'living room conversation' experience, but I thought it would have benefited from some rehearsal/practice. Maybe he wanted to cover as many ideas as possible? Unfortunately, from my perspective it just came off lacking. I had hoped to for something a bit more thought provoking. I do think that the individuals who watched him on TV growing up probably enjoyed it more than I did and it was a novelty experience.

    Not as expected

by JL on 2023-06-23Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Thought there would be more discussion around world events and climate change. Seemed more geared towards kids which is strange since it was 8pm on a school night. We left early.

    Absolutely Incredible

by Vic117 on 2023-04-01FirstOntario Concert Hall - Hamilton

Bill Nye was absolutely incredible. He was genuinely himself, incredibly entertaining, engaging, fun, comedic, and down to earth. The Concert Hall was a fantastic venue with a great amount of space, and the event was well-organized. Additionally, the sound was superb, and it was incredibly easy to hear him, even while I had some people around me talking to one another. Mr. Nye's presentation about climate change felt like a science lecture, and I absolutely loved it. Felt surreal to see him and experience him speaking about science in person. He was incredibly articulate and had fun while also being serious about a serious topic. It would have been amazing to have him as a professor. If you get the chance to hear him speak, do it! Fantastic experience. Would absolutely go again!

Great Talk until they opened up to the audience for Q&A

by LS on 2023-04-01Meridian Hall - Toronto

People in the audience did not really ask questions - they used their time to tell everyone about how great they are - Bill Nye showed a lot of frustration too! Just to be clear, Bill's presentation was about an hour long - after that, it was pretty much a waste of time.

Bill Nye (and We) Will Change the World

by NorthernGator on 2023-03-31FirstOntario Concert Hall - Hamilton

Bill spoke for about an hour using a slide presentation. His humour made the talk engaging. I’m a university science graduate so I could follow the science talk but I think Bill made the topic accessible for others who may not have as much science literacy. His presentation called for action and has motivated me to join the Planetary Project and do more to do my part. The 30 minute question period had its ups and downs depending on the question and the speaker but Bill turned each question into an engaging response. The moderator did a good job and is a 4th year university science student so fit in well. I would absolutely go see Bill again. Well done!

    Hot, and underwhelmed

by Asbos on 2020-03-06Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

We had seats by the equipment at the back and it was so hot we could barely pay attention. Our row was wet with sweat. Bills show was not what i expected at all. I thought it would have been more exciting and informative. It was very political talk show and he spent too much time negatively speaking of others.
