Billy Talent is one of my favorites canadian bands.hey played with lots of energy , had good contact with people , but sound was only average, Shaw Conference Centre is not good for music.
The overall concert was good. I've been to many concerts that were much better though. My friend I went with and myself both thought Indian Hand Crafts were terrible. I didn't think Hollerado was talented either. Sum 41 was the best band of the night performance wise. Billy Talent was good but the guitar and bass overpowered the vocals a bit too much.
Love love billy talent!! Super entertaining always a good time. Music was tight. Although I skipped the first three acts. Can't wait for them to return!!!
The bands started on time. The intermissions didn't drag on. The sound wasn't great for the opening act but grew better for each band. Still wasn't spectacular but not bad. Video was high def and the light show for Sum 41 and Billy Talent were pretty good. The odd time signatures of Indian Handicraft threw me a bit (even as a drummer). Lost a little of the musicality in the material. Didn't like Hollerado that much but most of the people around me did. Sum41 was really tight and the drummer is amazing. Liked these guys the best. Not a big fan of the Billy Talent but the guitar player is excellent! He was worth seeing.
It was such an awesome concert!! It would definitely be a band I'd go see again!! they were touring alongside with sum 41 who were also really good!! Indian Handcrafts and Hollerado were really good opener bands!! We were in standing room and it was worth it paying the extra
Awesome ! Awesome! Awesome! Only downside was that they are Toronto Maple Leaf fans and when you say " Go Leafs" while playing in Calgary it doesn't go down to well!

I was excited for this show but I wasn't really sure what to expect. Even with shitty seats, this show was still awesome. I definitely recommend that you see it if you can.
Getting 4 bands on one bill was absolutely awesome. The headliners had everyone on their feet for almost their entire set. I don't think there are many Canadian bands out there today who put on a better show than Billy Talent.
I couldn't beleive how fantastic Billy Talent was! They sounded exactly like the soundtrack. Not to mention the opening bands were also wonderful. Seeing Sum 41 brought me back to being 13! The only disappointment was the venue as people were smoking pot around me on (I had floor tickets) and I am allergic to it.
Billy Talent performed extremely well for what they had. The guy who was doing the sound for them must have been sleeping on the job because there was WAY to much drum and bass and not enough Guitar and Vocal. Billy Talent new this and did there best with it in spite of the terrible sound crew.
The event was great. All bands that played were fantastic. Billy Talent was awesome as always. They are great performers. Sum 41 was great, very energetic. Hollerado was a fun band as well as Indian handcraft

While Sum 41, Billy talent and the opening bands were great, being on the floor was ridiculous. There were obvious minors drinking beer and smoking pot. People were throwing their beers and I got drenched. You couldnt even walk without stepping on garbage, it was disgusting. The only thing I saw security do was tell people not to go on each others shoulders, as if this was the most dangerous thing going on A recommendation would be for venues to have a designated drinking area on the floor separate from those who just want to have a good time without having beer spilt on them. Overall the show was good, but the people in the crowd were annoying.. Next time im getting a seat in the stands.
The sound/reverberation was bad, putting that to one side Billy Talent nailed it, clear tuneful music, amazing drum beats, excellent light show and a hard hitting in your face music selection set the tone. The warm up act Hollarado were very good, I could have listened to more of them, Sum 41 was another story. Sum 41 were off tune, somewhat off beat and although they jumped up and down cavorting around on stage the music was a little disappointing. They don't seem to have much new stuff and trotting out the old standbys obviously didn't invigorate them too much, perhaps a little more practice is needed? Overall Billy Talent stole the night and despite the terrible acoustics in the ISC they were well worth the price of admission. 4 stars from me for the Billy Talent Show, likewise for Hollerado, only two for the Sum 41 fellas.
Great concert, I liked that they gave enough time in between acts to go out and get some air, Sum 41 was a bit too loud. Next time I will just get a a seat not so close to the massive speakers, my entire body was shaking with the bass.
Ben kowalewicz saw me and my mom & some girls yelling Ben Ben read the sign and then Ben came right over 2 me and read my sign & he was saying 2 i would love 2 meet you or it was it would be my honored 2 meet you it was so sweet ! thank u so much Ben best night ever love u guys can't wait 4 the next concert
Billy Talent, who have been on the scene for long enough that many of their original fans are now in college, have morphed into a semi-professional stage performing group from a punks-in-a-hall-their-parents-rented gig band. They now have a fine sound system and better guitar techs but they have kept the spit and swagger attitude. They need some better lyrics and perhaps a few more explosions to produce a truly great show but they are well on their way to sneering at a Grammy.
The entire concert was amazing. The openers did a great job at getting everyone revved up; they performed very well. Then Alexisonfire came on and took over the stage, they KILLED it! They never fail to impress me and this time they outdid themselves with their contagious energy. They served as a perfect way to transition into Billy Talent. Billy Talent hit everything right on, they played all the right songs and played them with everything they had. They connected with the audience and gave everyone at the concert an incredible time. The entire event was just one big, awesome party!
