About

BOBBY VINTON IN CONCERT:

Legendary pop crooner Bobby Vinton skyrocketed to success in the early ‘60s with a string of wistful hits that established him as “The Polish Prince,” a nod to his Polish-American heritage. More than half a century later Vinton’s voice has the same romantic power that helped carry him to the top, especially on hits like “Mr. Lonely” and "There, I've Said It Again." Taking the stage with a nine-piece orchestra conducted by his son and dueting with his talented daughters, Vinton will treat fans to “Blue Velvet” and all the rest of his greatest hits on a highly anticipated string of 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Pennsylvania in 1935, Vinton inherited an interest in music from his bandleader father, and his parents encouraged his musical development by tying his daily allowance to the completion of clarinet practice. Forming his first band at age 15, he earned enough money playing shows to put himself through school at Duquesne University, where he earned a degree in music composition. After several unsuccessful early releases, Vinton took matters into his own hands for the promotion and distribution of 1962’s “Roses Are Red (My Love),” with fantastic results – the song peaked at No. 1 on the pop charts, remaining there for four weeks.  A string of chart-topping classics would follow, including “Mr. Lonely” and his best-known recording “Blue Velvet.” The years have treated Vinton’s dreamy voice in a manner befitting a prince, and fans at his upcoming shows can expect a truly stellar walk down memory lane.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Bobby's voice is just as good as ever and the playlist included all his big hits. He came down into the audience and interacted allowing photographs, kisses, hugs, whatever anyone wanted…”

“Music with a melody, a classy orchestra, and I was amazed at his instrumental abilities. That was a pleasant surprise. Wonderful that his family was a part of the show.”

“He looks the same as he did 50 years ago, is in great shape, has the strongest voice ever, sang all his big ones and covered many others! His son leads the 9 piece orchestra that backs him and his 2 daughters sing. And…he plays the trumpet, sax and clarinet like nobody's business!”

Bobby Vinton"s performance was absolutely amazing

by Camillia on 2009-10-12The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Besides growing up with his great music,he's Polish and proud of it..He even sang and honored the Italians!!His daughter and son were great performers as well!I was upset because I called Caesars Windsor and they said that I'd be able to see him but I had a large steel bar obstructing our view, not only of him but of the two large screens. This is not Ticketmaster's fault but Caesars for lying to me!! The music was incredible!!!Being Polish myself, got me really in the mood for the evening of singing and dancing!!!

    Great energy, great lighting!

by Pegs on 2009-10-11The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

We loved it! Very impressed with Bobby's energy and enthusiastic attitude. His lighting designer is a genius!! His sound engineer needs to lower the volume, improve the balance and eliminate the squeals.

    Bobby Vinton was FANTASTIC

by porkyplayer on 2009-10-11The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Last night's show show brought back memories long forgotten, some sweet and sentimental, some bittersweet. His talents are endless in the number of different forms of musical compositions he sang to the number of musical instruments he has mastered. I give this show a five star rating.

    Bobby Vinton was terrific

by precious604 on 2009-10-11The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

At first I thought oh this is going to be so boring, but as the evening progressed it just kept getting better. He is so very talented and the addition of his daughter and son and the extremely versatile band, all came together to make the show very enjoyable. There were a couple of moments that were very emotional when he paid tribute to the military and when he spoke about growing up with his Dad. I would attend his show again.

    A solid performance

by fineman on 2009-10-10Casino Rama - Orillia

Not only all the Bobby Vinton hits but a wide variety of music from country to Phantom of the Opera! Bobby can play just about anything and he did. His daughter and son are featured in the show...it delivered more than expected. Bobby gave an extended show for Casino Rama where the talent is clearly on borrowed time because gambling is the core business.

I have been a fan of Bobby Vintons since I was seventeen. This is the second time I went to see his show at Rama Casino. I was not disappointed and seeing it the second time brought tears to my eyes. He is a wonderful performer and his band is amazing and his daughter adds so much to his performance and he has a very talented son. I hope to see him back at casino and I for one will be thrilled to see him perform again. He is so talented and just wonderful with his fans. I can't say enough good things about Mr Vinton. Its truly wonderful to have such a fine gentleman and family man at Rama Casino. A very loyal fan. Neanie

The Bobby Vinton show was one of the best shows we have ever seen. Bobby is a natural showman that loves to perform and he displays his many talents to perfection. We were overwhelmed at how versatile he is as an entertainer. His show kept us fully entertained from start to finish and left us wanting to more. Bobbys daughter and son are very good entertainers as well.
