  • Inside out!

by elf51 on 2010-11-01MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

What an amazing machine the human body is! I'm a nurse who also enjoys bodybuilding with my husband, and so this was doubly interesting to me. To actually see the muscles as they truly appear, and NOT just in the magazines and textbooks as we'd typically see them, and the skeletal composition, is quite eye-opening! Your display was well done. Unfortunately, though, the displays really do, after seeing a few, "all look the same". I would, however, still say this is worth seeing if you are in any way curious about the human body, or in a sports-related or medical field.

  • Bodies...Good but,,,

by Poobah on 2010-11-01MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

The Bodies exhibition was definitely a fascinating event, but after seeing the show in Edmonton a few years back, I was kind of disappointed. This show was probably about half the size of the previous one I attended and things that I had hoped to see were not in the Winnipeg Show. If you have never seen the show, definitely attend it, because it is very interesting and an amazing thing to see.

  • Bodies is Miraculous

by GDLDCDMD on 2010-10-27Bodies, the Exhibition - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

The Bodies Exhibition was very cool and a one-of-a-kind experience. It is well worth seeing before it leaves town. It is amazing to see how intricate we are made & the miracle that makes up life. After seeing this it is hard to believe that the THEORY of evolution still holds any merit - yet it was given credit for this unbelievable display of design. Considering there are hundreds of thousands of steps that need to take place before the body is a reality, it is impossible to think it occurs as blind chance. This display is a great way to see the awesome wonder of God's handy work. A big thanks to the creators of the exhibition & those responsible for bringing it to Winnipeg.

  • Simply amazing!

by kymmy1976 on 2010-10-27MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

The bodies exhibit was simply amazing....very educational! I really enjoyed seeing how the body works. The relationships between muscles, ligaments, bones etc. My favorite was being able to see what is "inside". Seeing the muscles that I am working so hard to develop was super cool.

  • Absolutely amazing - Bodies, The Exhibition

by Ince on 2010-10-26MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best exibitions I have ever attended. It was so incredibly informative and well presented. There is absolutely nothing morbid or indecent about this presentation. It gives a person such a complete picture of the humans body, the workings, the anatomical position of the organs, and the way damaged organs look whe affected by diseases. Any school who suggests this would be anything but advantageous for students to see is very wrong. The knowledge they would obtain would be invaluable. Stunning!

  • the bodies exhibit was interesting

by dorlab on 2010-10-25MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

My sisters & I found it informative. It's been a long time since Science class in Gr 5, so it was good to refresh the memory. The body truly is amazing!! We do take it for granted, what it is capable of, on a daily basis. The artificial parts were intruging, the instruments used for some procedures. It was mildly disturbing with the "real dead bodies" but on the other hand I found it supplied good explanation on different body functions, parts, and processes. I would recommend better lighting, though. It was very hard to see around.

  • Something you'll never forget!

The bodies experience was amazing! There are so many things to learn and not to mention things to see. The fact that you would see EVERYTHING was just amazing. I would reccommend this experience to anyone. I think that this is an educational exhibit for all ages.

  • Fasinating

by Qos100 on 2010-10-19MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

It was fascinating to see how amazing and intricate the human body is. How much a doctor has to learn and appreciate the long hard hours of study to learn all the organs and how every part of the body works, To be able to know the whole spectrum of the body both male and female, and diagnose so many illnesses and diseases. I am glad I took my sons who want to be doctors. We all appreciate the human body. Was a great experience.

Any student whose taken an Introductory Anatomy lab in a post-secondary setting would have seen most of the displays and would known the information on the showcase cards. But it was presented in an artsy manner and the showcases were impressive. Definitely recommended.

  • Amazing Bodies

by Wrinkly on 2010-10-12MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

An excellent display of the human body logically laid out to take a layman through the intricacies of energy absorption (eating and the conversion to energy) through to motion of the body. The subject is treated with respect and with no embarrassment. The fetal development display was particularly enlightening. There were a couple of displays that I would liked: Brief mention of the skin was made through a small plaque hung on the wall. Each of the bodies on display had been 'skinned' to expose the inner workings and one of the skins could have been laid out for display to bring realization to the size of this, the largest organ of the body. Secondly, a section dedicated to the senses (sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch) would be an informative and interesting addition.
