  • Fascinating

by kellgus on 2010-10-11MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

We really enjoyed this exhibition. At first we were a little nervous, but we once we got over our initial discomfort at seeing the bodies we learned so much and really enjoyed it. It was a very educational and fascinating afternoon for us.

There was so much hype and controversy surrounding this event, I had high expectations. It was a bit of a let down.

Very informative. I took my 6 year old and he was very interested in all the exhibits and had a lot of questions about how the body works. The child friendly audio tour was great for all those questions. :)

This exhibit is so amazing. We truly are complex beings and this exhibit shows that. I am so happy i decided to go, I now have a new appreciation for the human body and all it does.

Very educational and quite interesting. I thought that the most inetresting parts of the exhibit were the vein-only items and the one full body exhibit that was done in cross section.

  • A Must See For Every Human

by KissRocked on 2010-10-11MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

This is a must see for every human. This exhibit give you a great understanding about how complex our body is and how we can destroy it so easily. You will never get a chance like this to see and understand the human body.. A must see.

  • Unreal! Great!!

by TCNC on 2010-10-11MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Took my 10 year old son, who is really into the sciences. The displays were awesome, we both eve got to hold a human heart! I was a little leery at first if it was age appropriate, but we both saw first hand the inner/outer workings of the human body....the "ultimate machine" Highly recommend it to all!

  • Bodies Rocked!

by raezane on 2010-10-10MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

This was an AMAZING exhibition. My daughters went a few years ago (in Florida) and decided I would have to see it and hoped it would come to Winnipeg. Being a nurse, I thought it wouldn't be anything I hadn't seen in medical texts, but the attention to detail and the way it was presented was impressive.

by jpdl on 2010-10-09MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Hard to believe that the bodies were once living, breathing human beings. Well done! Have recommended to several friends. Would see again. Great learning experience. Very well put together on display.

  • Educational and Amazing!

by Anonymous on 2010-10-01MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

The Bodies exhibit is something out of this world! A must see! It is very intriguing to see how the body operates and what things like smoking and cancer do to the body. It is a well organized exhibit and there is friendly staff that can help explain any questions you have. I especially enjoyed the hands on experince of holding a brain, something I am sure I will never be able to do again.

I was really educative. There is no other exhibition I have ever watched that is comparable to this one. It's a little brutal at first to see all the specimen which I have already known that they were living human kind like me past. I think, however, from a different perspective, they are not that scaring as we thought, instead they are deserve more respects from us. As a medicine student, i would like to thank all the personel involved in this exhibition, especially to these people who dedicated their bodies for medical research.

  • Bodies Exhibition was a real eye opener!

by clmaxwell on 2010-09-29MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

I attended the Bodies Exhibit recently with my 19 year old niece and my 12 year old daughter, both of whom intend to pursue careers in the medical field. We found the exhibition well done and very informative. We appreciated that there were medical students and other staff on hand to answer any questions we may have about the exhibits. We all have a better understanding of how the human body works and the impact on it when we don't take care of ourselves.

  • :)

by beepenner on 2010-09-29MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

the show was absolutely phenominal! i was not expecting to see that big of an exibit at all let alone have med students walking around answering any questions and explaining some of the things. As a smoker i found it disturbing how i am doing such things to my body. And i am scarred for my future after seeing this, It most definatly made me realize how precious my body is and the smallest things that seem insignificant make the most drastic difference on our bodies.

  • Bodies were amazing - audio tour was not

by Silvertaze on 2010-09-28MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

The Bodies Exhibit was pretty phenomenal! I have never seen the body in these ways before and it was really interesting. Audio Tour: Don't waste your money! You can just read the posters beside the displays. Sometimes the audio tour used the same senteces straight off of the posters. Information: Information was very basic. I didn't learn anything new about the human body in terms of how it functions (ie - how a heart works, lungs, etc...). I was really disappointed that I didn't get to learn about the PROCESS of preserving these bodies, taking them apart and putting them back together. THat would have been REALLY interesting - but that information did not exist. Bodies: It was fascinating even though we didn't learn anything new. I Loved to see the blood vessels separated from the body, or the muscles separated from the skeleton.. very neat! Again - just wish we got to learn more about HOW they did all this and not how the heart works.
