Active for nearly 40 years, Boston’s combination of hard progressive rock, phenomenal guitar work, and soaring vocals is still as riveting and relevant as ever. In 2013, the acclaimed rockers dropped their sixth studio album – and first since the death of lead singer Brad Delp in 2007 – Life, Love & Hope. Delp sings on a handful of the tracks, while several other vocalists fill out the rest of the album. 2012 saw the band touring for ticket holders across the country, performing fan-favorite songs from their hit-filled back catalogue.
Boston’s self-titled debut album came out in 1976, catapulting the band to stardom with the smash singles “Long Time,” “More Than a Feeling,” and “Peace of Mind,” remaining on the Billboard charts for an astonishing 132 weeks and becoming the best-selling debut album in US history. After opening concerts for Black Sabbath, Blue Öyster Cult, and Foghat, Boston charted its own headlining tour and became the first band to play Madison Square Garden in their New York City debut. Their second album Don’t Look Back came out in 1978 and sold over seven million copies, with its title track reaching No. 4 on the charts. Boston’s third album Third Stage came out in 1986, expanding their sound with electronic drum samples, and remained the No. 1 album for four weeks on the strength of top 20 singles “Amanda,” “Can’tcha Say” and “We’re Ready.” 1994’s platinum-selling Walk On followed, as well as 2002’s Corporate America.

Incradible!!! Always fun to see great rock'n'roll bands in New Jerseys casinos :)
Best concert I've seen this year! I felt like I was transported back in time and I was 30 years younger! Boston has a sound that no other group can imitate their music is timeless and the crowd left wanting more! Unlike some of the newer acts I've seen this year, the concert started on time and maintained momentum for the entire 2 hours that they played. I wasn't sure what to expect with a new lead singer but Tommy Decarlo delivered. I am sure Brad Delp would approve! We drove 9 hours from Canada and it was so worth it! Tom Sholtz is a musical wizard!
I hadn't seen Boston perform since 1987 at the Tacoma Dome so needless to say I was very, VERY excited when I purchased a ticket for this performance at the Hard Rock. Cheap Trick opened, a band that could easily still be headlining a tour on its own. Then Boston...all the hits, even some new tunes. A great selection of songs and all sounding fantastic. Though Delp is sorely missed, the band still sounds very authentic and true Boston, not a 'tribute' band as some have suggested. The current line up including guitar legend (and techie) Tom Scholtz brings it on in full, and they even have a cool light and video show to back things up. Highly entertaining, worth every penny even though it was substantially more than the $17.50 I paid the last time I saw them.
The Doobies came on first and rocked the house!!!! I found Boston just seemed to have to much instrumentals for way to long. It seemed like they were just filling in time towards the end of the concert. But to be fair I only went because of the Doobies Brothers. Boston was just an added bonus.
Last seen them 36 years ago , brought back lot of memories amazing concert.
Cheap Trick sang more songs that I knew, than I realized. Boston was good, new singer was a good replacement. Rain kind of sucked, glad it stopped 2/3 of the way through.
Loved this concert, Cheaptrick was awesome...could have listened all night , then came Boston. I was so excited, I swear it was more than I could describe....The music is out of this world...I would definitely see them again!
If you have a chance to see Boston and Cheap Trick together all I can say is " GO!" They are both amazing.
just loved the show, nice location and with paid in advance parking you don't have to worry about it. the car stayed nice and dry in the parking garage not like we did in the rain...but still enjoyed the show !
I have seen Boston several times. I miss Brad, however, the band is largely the same. The music and band members still carry out the vibe.
If you love the band you'll like the show. Tom Scholz is in great shape for 67 and he still can play. I loved the 4 guitar onslaught!! My wife found that the songs sounded too much the same and got bored after a while and wound up preferring Cheap Trick. Can't go wrong with a concert at Bethel woods. Awesome place to see a concert.
BOSTON showed again why they are one of the best bands in history...the music power on display was awesome, and the layered vocals with 7 singers(!!) was amazing...no one currently plays and arranges vocals like this...kudos Tom Scholz for keeping this group together...this was a bucket list night for me, and delivered magnificently on childhood fond memories..
great opening song and set list. Looks like they really want to please the audience. They have awesome stage presence and talk to the crowd . Canadian National Anthem during the guitar solo always gets the audience on their feet. Lol
I had an excellent time at the show. Both bands played their hits and some new stuff. Sounded great and it was an excellent night at an outdoor venue.
Boston & Cheap Trick took me back to my teenage years. Not necessarily the best years of my life but definitely the 70s & 80s did produce the best music. Their performances were great & very energetic - the best part for me was when Boston played O Canada and everyone was singing while in the background, an amazing video showing our beautiful country played. I've never seen any artist do that and I was quite impressed & I've seen innumerable artists.
Cheap Trick sucked as usual but Boston was great. Got to get rid of ice cream guy in front of section 4 -- blocked people's view
The sound, the songs, the talent...first time I've seen them, and I hope it won't be the last...just pure Rock n roll awesomeness!!!!!!
Had a lovely night, being at the Amphitheatre on a nice summer nice listening to music, what more would you like
What a treat to see Boston at the Amphitheatre. Boston played great music with lots of energy - i felt like i was 18 again. The Molson Amphitheatre is such a great venue ... You can either sit or stand with lots of room to move and the sound is fantastic!
