The Orpheum, Vancouver is a fabulous venue. Any seat allows a good view. Brit Floyd is a band of excellent musicians. That is vital to achieving the calibre of the original Pink Floyd masters. From start to finish Brit Floyd held the full house captive with music and effects with professionalism.
Incredibly talented musicians and one AMAZING backup vocalist. Unfortunately they were so focused on extended instrumentals that the show was lost. Literally 2.5 hours to play 40 minutes worth of songs. Lose the 20 minute instrumental sessions and add more songs to the set! This could have been a great show, instead it left me wanting so much more.
Went to brit floyd with my two sons and had a great time! Band was spot on!
3rd time we have seen this show and it never disappoints. Stellar musicians giving awesome performances. Love the animation on the back screen very unique and emotional. Will go again next time they come to Vancouver.
The instrumental solos and laser show were out of this world fantastic!! However, the instruments were much too loud which made the vocals hard to hear. The sound was much better when they played the Queen Elizabeth Theatre 6 years ago. But all in all, great concert!!
Highlights included a brilliant version of Great Gig In The Sky (earning the soloist a well-deserved standing ovation) and an incendiary guitar solo on Comfortably Numb.
Saw them and met them at signing table at the Sony Theatre T.O. In 2015. Some of the members have changed but the dedication to production of the show is the same. Damian is still the main guide through the maze of timeless music by Pink Floyd. Honouring them with historical pictures and film during a dazzling light show while flawlessly performing songs most of us came to hear.
Absolutely better than expected. The music was amazing and the visual was spectacular. Can’t wait to do it again
This was my 4th time seeing Brit Floyd, truly an amazing show. The lights and the sound are perfect. I’m too young to have seen Pink Floyd live back in the day, but this is as close as you can find today to the real thing. I plan on seeing them every time they come to my city.
Incredibly good band that was able convey the songs and essence of Pink Floyd with a great level of attention and detail. Very impressed with the quality of musicianship. A great show - highly entertaining and definitely worthy of seeing.
I was sorely disappointed in the sound quality of the concert. We were sitting in the lower balcony and every song had some to a lot of distortion in it. Could it have been the location of where we were sitting? I don't know as the crowd was extremely loud in showing their appreciation so did some sections of seating not experience the distortion? That doesn't seem likely but I didn't move around the theater so I can't know for sure. I couldn't identify the first song of the encore as there was so much distortion. In many other songs I couldn't identify the lyrics because the distortion was so bad. My daughters who were with me agreed. Hearing the band on PBS we liked them so hearing them like this was quite disappointing.
Music was great Venue acoustics were great Venue needs a bigger selection of drinks
The concert was awesome. This was second time we had been to see them. Light show was incredible. I’d forgotten how beautiful Orpheum Theatre is.
Really, a spectacular show. The musicians and singers in this band are phenomenal. Whether you’ve seen Pink Floyd or not, this is an amazing show.
Amazing show the sound was perfect. What a great evening
Just a shame that the younger generation missed out on real music!
Another awesome performance by Brit Floyd. This was my 4th time seeing them and I am already looking forward to the next time. The music, the light show, the video projection, all make for an incredible evening of entertainment.
The sound was distorted, was looking forward to the concert. Ears were ringing when we left at intermission. Couldn't hear the back up singers. Just overall not happy.
I sat higher in the stand and the backlighting destroyed the experience. I could not see the band throughout practically the entire performance as I had to cover my eyes from the aircraft landing lights blinding me until I was uncomfortably numb. Disappointing that the stage crew did not position themselves around the theater (Orpheum Vancouver) to understand how annoying these lights were. I get that lights that shine out to the audience is a typical concert move for the band to see its fans but these lights at this show were really bothersome. As far as the show overall, I was underwhelmed. Lame visuals on the screen behind the band (when I could see it) mediocre rendering of such an iconic band. A LOT of lead up to recognizable songs. On a positive note and why I left 3 stars. These are obviously talented musicians who do there best to give tribute to a band that they undoubtedly adore and the backup singers and in particular the lady that sang the great gig in the sky was fantastic. Full deserving of the standing O. What a tribute to poor Clare Torry who should have received the same adulation in her day. So, though not entirely satisfying I would recommend to anyone craving an 'okay' Floyd evening if one is unable to attend a Roger Waters show. 3 stars for me and by the way- which one's Brit?
