    Third Timer

by Anonymous on 2010-04-09Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

Excellent show. Performance has improved even since great show last year. Interacts and moves about the audience. Wide range of songs. Talented backing band. Buddy again gave a quick history of the blues and comparison between past artists, which teaches new comers. Many jokes/humourous lyircs thrown in. Gives more back to a good audience (in my opinion).

by J257 on 2010-04-09Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

First time seeing Buddy Guy...won"t be my last. The whole show was great. Steve Strongman is well on his way to fame. Tom Hambridge is just oozing in talent and Buddy Guy is an unforgettable entertainer.

    Buddy...what a Guy!

by juiceman on 2010-04-09Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

He struts, he grinds, he makes his guitar purr one second and just lets it RIP the next. He's probably someones great grampa and he brought this crowd to life like a kid 1/3 his age. And he's just a hoot, to boot !

    Buddy Guy............fantastic!

by swortzy on 2010-04-09Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

After a disappointing opening act, which few even showed up for, Buddy & his group came out very powerful & are obviously a well tuned machine. This was my first opportunity to see Buddy "live" and I'm extermely sorry I have left it so long to enjoy. Even at age 74 Buddy still a master of the guitar, the range of his voice is incredible, his entertainment ability, humour & overall stage presence are just simply amazing. This by far is one of the best concerts I have ever attended. The very best would be to see Buddy & Clapton together in concert!

Buddy Guy is a "DO NOT MISS PERFORMER"

by StevieR on 2010-04-09Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

Do you like the blues? Doesn't matter. Go see Buddy Guy anyway. Here is a performer in his 70's who can put on a show like no other. Can he sing? YES. Can he play the guitar? WOW. Can he entertain? DAMN RIGHT. You really get the sense that he loves what he does and puts everything into his shows. Unlike some others who are only going through the motions in order to make some money. Grab yourself some tickets and go see him!

by Gyuri on 2010-04-09Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

Every year, about same time Buddy Guy shows up, unchanged, full of zest and with a mischievous smile in his eyes. He sings, plays the guitar, walks, teases the public. The show is unmisteakable of a master. He delivers on all counts.

    Buddy Guy

by 4168 on 2010-04-08University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

This was an exceptional concert. It was very refreshing to hear a genuine original who conveyed how comfortable he is with himself. Watching him perform was a joy. And as I thought of it today if you closed your eyes at the concert you would have know idea of the age of the person who was playing. Buddy Guy conveyed youthfulness of style throughout the concert in how he played, yet clearly he offered experience only gained in years. Of the four of us watching the concert, three people are avid guitar players and all three of them went away marveling at his talent. The youngest at 13 had never really heard the blues and indicated after the concert he would love to hear more. This was a concert none of us will forget. Talent and humanity are overwhelming.

Blues will last forever. Thanks Buddy.

by Deruso on 2009-07-24Cape Cod Melody Tent - Hyannis

I attended the show with my wife and my two kids. My 9-years old son, who plays guitar, was amazed by Buddy's facitlity teasing the strings : it looked so easy! My daughter left the place with one comment : from now on, blues will be my favorite music. One more fan!
