  • Exceeded Expectations

by Jay on 2024-06-29Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The concert exceeded expectations. High energy show from start to finish. Sound quality was very good. Supporting band, Young the Giant, were also very strong. Although the setlist was a full 20+ song show the concert was simply banger after banger without much interaction with the crowd so it was surprisingly quick. If I recall, it was less than 90 minutes.

  • Awesome energy

by zsal on 2024-06-29Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Cage the Elephant always gives an electrifying performance, I was on my feet the whole time. Young the Giant was fantastic too, as expected. This is one of the most engaged I’ve seen a Vancouver audience at a live concert. Favourite part: every time Matt Shultz jumped in unison with the pyrotechnics. No complaints with the set list at all - 3 encore songs and included all the new songs & classics everyone came for.

  • Almost perfect

by Mumledo on 2022-08-06History - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Fantastic performance however can only give 4 stars as band didn’t come on until 9:30!

  • Cage the elephant

by Julia on 2022-08-05History - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Venue was great. History was a great place to see a pumped up show like cage the elephant. It was super clean, air conditioning running high, security seemed organized. Felt safe. Only issue I had took too long for band to come out. People standing close together for hours waiting. People were having anxiety attacks. One guy had a leg brace from an injury and had to leave his spot. People were having anxiety being in such tight quarters for too long and left. That was disappointing to see. There was discussion in the crowd that they weren’t coming on. The performance was awesome when they did eventually get to the stage. Maybe there was a explainable reason but the time delay caused a lot of stress for the fans. Hope band sees this comment and makes a better effort to preform in a reasonable time frame.

  • No opening band, and no encore!

by Michael on 2022-08-05History - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Was very excited for this show. Saw them when they played with Beck at the amphitheater 4 years earlier and they stole the show. Was disappointed there was no opening act. Figured they would play a longer set considering no opener. Not the case, and they didn't even come out for an encore.

  • AMAZING SHOW

  • Cage the Elephant

by Kmr on 2022-08-05History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The band was awesome! The sound was a little off and they were supposed to start at 9pm and didn't come on until 9:35. Very annoying but they put on a great show!

  • Best concert I’ve ever been to!

by Giu Mas on 2022-08-05History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Cage The Elephant was easily the best concert I have ever been to. They sounded just like the studio versions of their songs and overall had such a great energy! You could tell everyone was having a fantastic time. Matt was extremely interactive with the crowd, especially those that had GA (including myself). He was singing with fans, posing for pictures, and even laughing with us. The whole band was amazing and if you ever have a chance to see them live, definitely go!!!

  • Cage was awesome - the sound Sucked!

by Rob on 2022-08-05History - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Cage put on an awesome energetic performance played all the great stuff they were outstanding but the sound is probably the worst I've ever experienced it a concert and I go to tons of concerts it sounded like it was in a bad School auditorium it was echoey and abandoned instruments were all hard to hear and there was multiple times where there was loud feedback. Felt like being in a cheap bar instead of a major venue, although all the many cheap bars I've been in had better sound. I was considering never going back to history because of the sound but I'm giving it one more chance on the hope that because we were a bit off to the side that maybe we were in a terrible Zone although this still doesn't excuse it or excuse the multiple times there was feedback. Amateurish and terrible acoustic design

  • Meh.

by Comranon on 2022-08-05History - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Show was ok. Had some sound issues throughout. Guitarists tone sucked, all his high register playing was off balance and very harsh. Singers voice has gone down a bit but overall was an energetic performance.

  • Best. Show. Ever.

by Rach on 2022-08-05History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

  • by Anonymous on 2016-05-12International Centre - Hall 5 (Formerly The Arrow Hall) - MississaugaRating: 5 out of 5

Great opening act with Portugal the Man and then Cage the Elephant was awesome. Both bands gave tight, high energy performances. Would love to see either band again.

  • Cage was AMAZING

by GeorgieD on 2016-05-12International Centre - Hall 5 (Formerly The Arrow Hall) - MississaugaRating: 4 out of 5

High energy.... Great show..the venue was too big...could have git more fans but tix were limited, not sure why.

  • The Elephant is uncaged and the world is next!

by Zot123 on 2016-05-11International Centre - Hall 5 (Formerly The Arrow Hall) - MississaugaRating: 4 out of 5

This will be the last time Caged the Elephant plays is a venue this size. Yes, there was a great crowd but the band has outgrown poor lighting and sound (sorry but true) Cage the Elephant is so dynamic on stage and tight with the instrumentation. I think the only reason they are not playing 20,000 seat arenas is that most of their songs have done well but they do not have the mega hit that is requrired to sell out. Shame on you! They remind me of early Rolling Stones when it was non stop kick ass rock'n'roll....but dare I say BETTER!

  • Cage the Elephant was the bomb! Spectacular!!!

by KatSyd on 2016-05-11International Centre - Hall 5 (Formerly The Arrow Hall) - MississaugaRating: 5 out of 5

Cage the Elephant sang all my fave songs from their Melophobia and Tell me Im pretty albums. They rocked the whole venue. The front act Portugal the Man was good too.

  • Great show

by OldManDon on 2016-05-11International Centre - Hall 5 (Formerly The Arrow Hall) - MississaugaRating: 4 out of 5

As always, Cage The Elephant put on an amazing show. The band has always been very crafty in putting together the play list to please everyone in the crowd. The only reason I didn't put a 5-star rating is due to the venue & its accessibility.

  • Just alright

by kingfisher on 2016-05-11International Centre - Hall 5 (Formerly The Arrow Hall) - MississaugaRating: 3 out of 5

Was quite suspicious that the singer was not actually singing to some or possibly all of the songs. Not a lip sync fan. I did however enjoy the warm up band from Alaska, I think they called themselves poncho the man.

  • Cage was wicked!!

by Sham on 2016-03-17Kerfuffle - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

Saw them in Buffalo a couple of years ago, would see them again in a heartbeat!!

  • Weak performance and rediculoiusly short set.

by trilifeordie on 2013-12-23Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

Having seen CTE open for the black keys and loving it i was really looking forward to this gig. I was sadly disappointing by the lack of energy from the band and you could feel it in the crowd. They seemed tired and uninvolved in the whole show. You would expect that a band with that many albums to draw from could play for more than 60 mins. I'm glad i was able to catch the Pack AD who killed it as always!
