Despite the tough loss to Spokane, the Dome is a great place to watch the hitmen play, and is a great experience with friends. Love it.
You get to enjoy the game that you go to and cheer your team on, and if you want (you don't have to) you can dance on the dance cam and have a chance to win some Hitmen stuff plus if you make it on the screen, there's a 10% chance that you might be on the highlights after the game.
We took our boys (ages 5 and 4) to their first hockey game and they had an amazing experience. The staff and security were friendly and so great to the kids and the facility was clean from the seats to the washrooms. It was all I could have hoped for taking them to such a large building full of so much going on. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to do something family friendly :)
Tried to buy lower bowl and it was sold out. Got to the game and it was 30% full??? Tried to buy the kid’s merchandise. Hoodies, T-Shirts, Jerseys and there was zero selection kids went home with nothing. Odd that there was no kids mercy considering it was family day!
He and a friend really enjoyed themselves, great seats
Every employee that we had an interaction with was wonderful
We went to the game, my sons forst time ever watching live hockey. We had great seats wasnt overly busy and had an exceptional afternoon watching the hitmen destroy the rebels 5-0!!!!
The Calgary Hitmen game against the Red Deer Rebels, on Sunday afternoon, was a Big Win for the team. All in attendance were invited to skate on the Saddledome ice, post-game. That was a Riot! With any luck..... there was an NHL Scout in the stands, who noticed that I only wiped-out once!.... (I could be the 1st Senior ever signed to an NHL contract.)
Booked tickets for the family and was excited about section 109 row 3 behind the players bench. What I did t realize is that row 3 is literally RIGHT behind the players! You can’t see the ice and are basically watching the game on the jumbotron. We moved across to club seats and LOVED it over there! The kids loved behind the players because they regularly got on the big screen 😂. It was Sunday funday so the kids got balloon animals and coloured some pictures. It was a nice afternoon out
The game was back and forth with great hitting and scoring
I have not been to a Hitman game for a year. From an entertainment perspective there is a reliance on the game itself to be the focal entertainment versus the crowd watching the game. I take the view that the game supplements the experience but is not the experience. I saw kids face painting which is great. But the same old hype of a section making the loudest noise gets a prize actually ticks off the rest of us because we paid for the game experience too. The crowd did not connect with the music after each goal. Farley going around did not pump up the crowd or really add to the experience. I recognize it is easy to just complain but overall, it is the same old entertainment package that I have seen at hockey games for years. I am going to sound like a psychologist, but the experience is not about the game anymore but the crowd who attends. I see this fundamental shift in so many other experiences. Where you do get it right is Calgary Roughneck games. Now that is an experience that my friends and I talk about the next day. There has to be more innovative ways of entertainment from other hockey arenas around the league that could provide you better ideas. Thank you for listening, Bob
Great value for fantastic hockey! The Hitmen games are great entertainment at a reasonable price. love it!
I enjoyed the hockey game but found it to be waaay too loud. I understand that they want to show enthusiasm, but I think the music especially could be played at a slightly lower decibel. Also, we ordered drinks to be delivered to our seats and I was shocked to learn that a simple coke was $7.50 - that is absolutely ridiculous! I'll know better next time.
We always enjoy taking our family to the Hitmen games. You can’t beat the price, food specials and of course the game! Thanks for the Hitmen social media team who are always able to get a message put up on the scoreboard when we have a special occasion!
We took some out of country family to their first hockey game and the loved it! It was a great game and lots of fun for the spectators. Well worth the money and a great experience for our family.
Find a way to shorten the clean up of the stuffed animals and make the game resume.
Teddy bear toss is a fantastic idea and so much fun for the kids
Went to the teddy bear toss game and WOW!!! What an incredible experience!!! Brought our two young sons and they just had a blast. Awesome family fun for a fraction of the cost of an NHL game
I would like to give a HUGE shout out to FARLEY. He made my grandson's first hockey experience amazing. Farley was walking around the arena like he always does. He then walked two rows down from us and my grandson was putting his arms out to touch or hug Farley. Fans from Tri-City got his attention and he came down and sat right behind us. My grandson was so excited he almost jumped out of my arms. Farley grabbed him and put him on his knees and they sat together with their legs crossed exactly the same waving my grandson's Hitmen Flag. Farley then gave him back to me after a hug and a wave bye. Farley then went back up to the top Concourse Level and got someone to holler at us and we turned around and Farley threw a Stuffed Farley to my Grandson. Even as of today he is still talking about Farley. That mascot needs a huge pat on the back for making BYRON"S first hockey game an unforgettable experience . Thank you Farley and The Hitmen Hockey organization.
