One of the best Drummers in the world

by Concertpete on 2016-06-12Molson Canadian Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

Once again Carl Palmer did an amazing show and a wonderful tribute to bandmate Keith Emerson. His Drum solo was one of the best I have seen. His band members were awesome. Nice venue intimate, and after the show Carl signed autographs for everyone at no cost a true gentleman.

    Once again dynamite

by ELPman on 2016-06-11Molson Canadian Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

Mr. Carl Palmer gets better with age. This is the 8th time I have seen him live, and he gets better as he gets older. The speed is still there, and his technical ability is awesome. Carl tells a little story before every song which makes his show more intimate. If you like hard driving music played at speed with a power drummer this band is for you. Lots of ELP classics, still played at the same speed as before. Carl Palmer is the greatest living drummer.

    Carl Palmer was absolutely amazing!

by Xenoplus on 2016-06-11Molson Canadian Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

His drumming skills are still top of the line. One of the best drummers that I have ever seen and I have seen Neil Peart.

    The Beat goes On!

by MammaGmac on 2013-04-29Molson Canadian Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

My husband and I love this venue because its up close and personal no matter where you sit. Both of us loved Emerson, Lake and Palmer back in the 70's and thought why not catch a glimpse of this fantastic drummer! Carl Palmer did not disappoint! Fantastic beats, amazing acrobatics with his sticks and incredible guitar and bass work with his 2 band mates whose names escape me. We also enjoyed the story telling in between most songs by the wonderfully soft-spoken Mr. Palmer. Although the set-up was simple there were some interesting graphics and movies that played in the background which at times I found quite mesmerizing. The only thing that was missing were vocals. No singing what-so-ever. Would I go again, probably not but did I enjoy this...yes I did. You don't see this kind of drum work, guitar work or bass work like this anymore. It was an experience.

    Great Again

by ELPman on 2013-04-26Molson Canadian Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

Once again, for the third time in Hamilton Carl Palmer put on a fantastic show. He might be 63 years old but he is still the best living drummer on the planet. Pace, energy, stamina, and perfect technique make Carl what he is. What a professional. All of the songs are played at the same speed Emerson Lake and Palmer were at, so the experience is very good. If you are looking to be entertained by a real pro, then Carl Palmer is your man.

Carl Palmer and friends - incredible

by Slainte15 on 2013-04-26Molson Canadian Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

Don't miss this show - Carl Palmer still has it. 63 years old, 2 hour set and then goes into a 10 minute drum solo - amazing. I was skeptical about an all instrumental set with no keyboards, but his guitar and bass player are some of the best I've seen. Carl interacts with the crowd between songs giving the history of the next tune..very warm. After a gruelling set he meets with anyone who wants something signed. Had my 1978 Pirates tour tshirt signed....Don't miss this show

Best drummer in the world, its official

by ELPJB on 2010-10-14The Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

Truly amazing that this band can play such complex ELP classics note for note with no Keith Emerson and no keyboard. We were constantly shaking our heads in amazement. Paul Bielatowicz did things with his guitar we would not have thought possible and Simon Fitzpatrick was a welcome addition on bass. Absolutely phenominal!

    The Best

by ELPman on 2010-10-14The Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

Carl Palmer not only re affirmed his role as the Greatest drummer on the planet but he also reminded us that you only get better with age. In my opinion, this show was better than his last show at Hamilton Place approx 4 years ago. Carl is the ultimate professional with great technique and speed of hands. If anyone is wondering why ELP have slowed down their music most recently, please dont blame it on Carl Palmer. This man can still play at great speed with good feel. Carl, please come back again
