Even tho i havnet been in a lot of concerts in my life, i can say that this one was the best one to date. Seeing the artist who i followed since his first album and watching how all the people there had the same passion for his music was another level of greatness for me, it was something that I'll never forget.
Sierra and Carpenter Brut both absolutely tore the roof off! Amazing! The only drawback of the night is that we had to deal with Ticketmaster. They’re such a greedy, garbage company that just needs to die in a fire.
Went to see them at the DanForth Music Hall and boy, was it amazing. The lights, the music and the crowd was spectacular. 11/10 would burst my eardrums again going crazy to Monday Hunt.
Over an hour of the show was backed by very explicit videos of naked women being murdered. I understand that Leather Teeth is an 80's slasher flick concept album but having two thirds of the show framed by violent pornography within four days of a world-publicized mass murder in the host city was incredibly tasteless. I'm not easy to offend and I've seen Rob Zombie several times. His horror/porn/comic video shows always have an element of camp and humour (coupled with his stage presence) that was totally missing here. The actual music set was everything we'd hoped for and more (if not too different from the pre-Leather Teeth live album), but I'm unlikely to pay to see Carpenter again and one of our party doesn't even think she can listen to his music any longer now that it's associated with 60+ min of visual disgust.
