celtic thunder different but very good

by crosbyfan on 2009-10-03THE ARROW HALL - Mississauga

They said they were going to push the ideal and they did. The first act was not something I was expecting, but I enjoyed it but not as much as the other shows. I was ther to see "the boys" and the first act I thought focused more on the women.

    Storm Passes By

by Anonymous on 2009-10-03THE ARROW HALL - Mississauga

Overall, a disappointment. Act One was random and it was obvious that it had been written in under a year. Definitely not worth the 45 minute intermission. As for Act Two, it contained the songs that the audience wanted to hear but the stage set-up prevented a large section of the audience from being able to enjoy the performance. Let's just say that the 'Celtic' in Celtic Thunder now only refers to the group's accents. As for the attempt at developing some of the member's images, well lets just say that having Keith sing a Beach Boy's song and the attempt at making him the third 'lady killer' was a little lame. Overall, I would recommend seeing Celtic Thunder - Take me Home, but don't waste your money on Celtic Thunder Storm (especially in this economy).

    Celtic Thunder Shook the Stands!!!

by Belleza on 2009-10-03THE ARROW HALL - Mississauga

The sets were unbelievable, with the first act as an early settler's theme, and the second act as a local park. The voices were even more beautiful live than on their cd's!!! Like angels on stage, singing new releases, and old classics. 500 miles, The Highwayman, Look at Me, and Hellelujah were just some of the unforgettable songs heard last night. To anyone who is wanting to buy tickets to Celtic Thunder : Storm .. Get them NOW!!!!!!!

    Celtic Thunder Storm...

by IrelandsCallers on 2009-10-03THE ARROW HALL - Mississauga

Definitely a show not to be missed!!! What can I say...the stage sets...yes, that's right, there were TWO stage sets! The choreography of the dance numbers were amazing and showed what wonderful talent Canada has. The vocals were unbelievable...even with Damian's much more mature sound---LOVED IT!!! It was the most I've ever spent on show tickets but wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Can't wait for the DVD to come out !!

    Celtic Thunder forever

by 3cats on 2009-10-03THE ARROW HALL - Mississauga

The special effects at the beginning of the show were fantastic! The first half was different, but very good. The second half, what can I say. This was Celtic Thunder at it's best, sexy, funny, entertaining. They can get the crowd involved, and seem to be having fun. Love them!

Presting it that way showed just how much they have changed, in each of the vidio's. True statement was on he edge of my seat waiting for the next, bit to come. They are going a long way. just to go see a concert that really made you feel what a night I had.

    Great Show

by Dreammaker on 2009-10-03THE ARROW HALL - Mississauga

Great show but lousy setup for seating, I bought tickets before they went on sale to the public as part of the fan club and we could barely see the stage with bars blocking our view and way off to the right side of the stage. Very very disappointing to stick your fans in these type of seats. The show was much better than at the ACC with the addition of the female singers and fabulous backdrops. The guys voices have developed nicely. Too bad we couldn't see much. Also, no cell phones should have been printed on the tickets. What a ripoff. $2.50 to check every item. I was upset before we even got to our horrible seats.

    Celtic Thunder Storm

by twinpals on 2009-10-03THE ARROW HALL - Mississauga

It was unforgettable. The song, costumes, and dance numbers were brilliant and amazing. The concept was so new to this group that it took my breath away. They stepped out of the box and pulled it off with ease. They had me setting on the edge of my seat. I have seen this marvelous group twice before and I think they get better ever time. They have really matured as a group, as well as each of them bring something new to their singing. I can't wait for the DVD and Cd to come available so I can get a closer look at the artist ,to relive this show and to learn their new songs. The group is my constant traveling companions.

    THE STORM-UNBELIEVABLE AND MADNESS-GREAT

by Anonymous on 2009-10-03THE ARROW HALL - Mississauga

Loved the show from beginning to end. You never know what's next for these lads but hey pulled it off like they were pros. Their dramatics was great. No wonder they were always tired at the end of the day. They put 150% into their rehearsals a day I'm sure. Wishing them every success in ALL they want to achieve in life.

    Celtic Thunder was Unfrogettable

by VanGo87 on 2009-10-03THE ARROW HALL - Mississauga

I came in and was blown away. The show was something unexpected and I was floored with the sets and costumes. The boys were amazing and crowd-pleasing as usual and completely approachable afterward. I would recommend this to everyone who likes a cover song redone to be a nice Celtic ballad!

    Celtic Thunder was amazing

by Sourise on 2009-10-03THE ARROW HALL - Mississauga

Not just a concert but a SHOW. New songs and classics young and old done to perfection. The addition of dancers and female singers and the change to a mini musical play made the event a whole new experience. I could watch it again and again

    Celtic Thunder STORM!!!!

by Warbler on 2009-10-03THE ARROW HALL - Mississauga

On the tour's opening concert not only were the lads in fine voice but the concert was so entirely differnt from the one in Rama last April. The first set is a thematical musical story blending both individual performances as well as entire group awesome harmonies. The second set allows the lads to stretch with new songs from top forty to 60's oldies to a roaring twenties number. Mostly individual performances, the director has superbly hand picked songs matched to the lads personalities & vocal talents. Truly stupendous. No true Thunder fan could come away feeling any less than truly blessed and energized. A small number of dire hard fans & a few "Thunder Heads" were fortunate enough to hang around in the lounge for 20 minutes after all had left and actually meet the lads, talk to them & receive not only autographs but heart warming hugs. A real treat!!!!

    Irish voices are magical

by dustinthewind on 2009-10-02THE ARROW HALL - Mississauga

This was exceptional. I had only seen this group on their website and thought it was top notch. The set was fantastic, instead of a straight run through of songs, it was almost like a musical with a bit of a story. The 2nd half was totally different - modern songs from as far back as the flapper era, the 50's, Beach boys surfing songs and that wonderful Cohen # Hallelujah. The crowd was mostly older which seems strange for a young bunch of great looking guys. I think they will be a hugh hit in America. I would have gone again the next night if it hadn't been sold out. The only drawback - we couldn't give a standing ovation because of filming and it was tough to resist jumping up.

Celtic Thunder took us by STORM!

by Morningirl on 2009-10-02THE ARROW HALL - Mississauga

These Celtic Lads with their amazing voices who were complimented by splendid theatrics and amazing dancers took us by STORM in last nights performance. The first half of the filming of this STORM show portrays the stages of life, love and friendships of a Celtic man through vocal music and dance. The second half was a more familiar Celtic Thunder performance, but with some new songs and surprises. This was an awesome show, which will absolutely be adored by millions of people, both current "Thunderheads" and those who have yet to become "THUNDERHEADS" Can't wait for the DVD release in March 2010!
